IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream Review

Being the beauty nerd/junkie that I am, I've been reading up on skincare since I was a teenager and as a result, I started using eye cream in my early 20's, before I really "needed" it.  I had learned that your eyes are usually the first thing to show the signs of aging on your face, in part because the skin is very thin and delicate there, and also because our eyes show a lot of expression. As a result, I guess you could say I've become a bit of an eye cream junkie!

That's why I was psyched when one of my favorite makeup brands, IT Cosmetics, launched their skincare line at Sephora. The first thing I had my eye on (no pun intended, haha) was the new Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream ($48). If my experience with IT Cosmetics' makeup line has taught me anything, it's that their products actually work, so the thought of them putting their expertise into skincare was really exciting to me.

IT Cosmetics Anti-Aging Armour Review

I was so happy to see that IT Cosmetics was launching at Sephora this fall and I was really excited when I saw that they were bringing several brand new, exclusive products with them that you can't get anywhere else. One of those new products is the Anti-Aging Armour Super Smart Skin-Perfecting Beauty Fluid SPF 50+ ($38). IT Cosmetics Minis For Summer Travel

When I'm packing for a vacation, I like to consolidate my makeup as much as possible. I like to take along mini versions of my favorite products (if available) as well as small face palettes (such as the Lorac PRO To Go).  So I was delighted to see that IT Cosmetics offers travel sizes on some of their most popular products (and some of my faves!) on the Ulta website.

These are not only great for travel, but also for those of you who haven't tried IT Cosmetics yet! Everything is priced between $10 and $16 so you can try them out before you spring for the full sizes. When I buy higher-end mascaras, I rarely buy the full sized tube anyway...when was the last time you used up an entire tube of mascara before the 3-month expiration date? I am so excited and happy to see that IT Cosmetics just released their Bye Bye Makeup Cleansing Balm ($38) on their website as a stand-alone product! You might remember that I reviewed this a few weeks ago and at the time it was part of a kit that's exclusive to QVC. I was worried about running out of this since it's all I've been using to cleanse my face for the past month or so. Don't worry...this doesn't translate to sparkle or glitter at all...it's very subtle and I honestly didn't notice too much of a difference between this and the regular Bye Bye Under Eye. Still, I'm in love with this concealer because just like the original, it's full coverage, waterproof and lasts all day without creasing or cracking. It's very thick so I like to put a small dot on the back of my hand and warm it up by tapping it with my finger. Then I dab my finger under my eyes to apply a super thin coating all the way around my eyes including my eyelids. It brightens up the whole area so much. You'll have your choice of four shades...Light, Medium, Tan, and Deep. 

Bye Bye Pores Blush

Next is the brand new Bye Bye Pores Blush in the shade Naturally Pretty. I did a full review on this a few weeks ago and it's such a gorgeous color! It truly does a great job at minimizing pores and looks so natural. You can see my full review here in case you missed it. 

Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder

This next product isn't new, but it's gotten rave reviews for its ability to optically blur the look of pores and fine lines...it's the Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder ($29). It contains peptides, real silk, and hydrolyzed collagen for a smooth, poreless finish. I love setting my makeup with this...it's completely translucent and feels so silky and smooth. I have dry skin and don't usually wear powders but this one feels really nice on my skin. 

Heavenly Skin Bye Bye Pores Powder Brush

This kit also comes with one of IT Cosmetics' famous Heavenly Luxe brushes. This is the brand new Heavenly Skin Bye Bye Pores Powder Brush and it has a custom cut dome shaped head that helps to blur away the look of imperfections for a flawless finish. Like all IT brushes, it feels super plush and luxurious with a sturdy handle and ultra soft bristles...they truly are heavenly and if you haven't felt one yet, you're in for a treat. This is probably the softest brush I own and I love using it with the Bye Bye Pores setting powder. This brush has a $58 value, so that's almost the entire price of the kit with just this one item. 

Last, but certainly not least might be my favorite product in the entire kit (although it's really hard to choose)...Bye Bye Makeup 3-in-1 Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm. It's definitely my favorite face cleanser ever and I'm hoping and praying that IT comes out with this on it's own very soon...before I run out! I posted a full review on it here, but in a nutshell, it's a silky soft balm cleanser that removes every trace of makeup without stripping your skin and with no greasy residue. I don't have to do a second cleanse after using this...my face feels deeply cleansed yet soft at the same time. It's holy grail status for me all the way.

Overall, this is my favorite TSV set from IT Cosmetics ever. Many of the past kits gave me repeat products but every single product in this set was new to me, so it was really exciting. Plus, there wasn't a dud in the whole set...I loved everything.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup 3-in-1 Cleansing Balm Review

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup 3-in-1 Cleansing Balm is brand new and about to launch next week on QVC, so get ready to pounce on this when it arrives because this stuff is amazing. I've tried so many different cleansing balms some of which were really expensive (hello Sunday Riley!) and while they've all been pretty great at removing makeup, most of them leave a greasy film on my skin, which then requires a double cleanse. Not the case with this one!
It rinses clean away, and my skin actually feels deep-down clean,  yet soft and hydrated at the same time. I don't know what kind of magic IT Cosmetics put into this jar, but I feel like throwing away all of my other cleansing balms and oils, because I haven't touched them since I got this a few weeks ago. Yup...it's that good.

At first glance, it looked really solid in the jar, sort of like coconut oil and I expected it to be a harder balm that melts once it warms up on your skin. I was pleasantly surprised to dig into this and feel a super soft, cushiony balm with a melty texture that spreads on the skin so easily. It feels so nice and silky that I actually look forward to washing my face with it (and when I'm tired and want to go to bed that's the last thing I normally want to do).

Once you start to massage it into dry skin, it melts right into an oil that dissolves makeup easily and completely.

Just as a quick example, I swatched IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores blush on my arm and then ran the cleansing balm over it once. You can see below how it just emulsifies and dissolves the makeup on contact.


After massaging this all over my face and eyes for about a minute, I just splash my face with warm water and it rinses away clean with no greasy residue. Unlike other balm or oil cleansers, I don't find the need to wash my face again with a regular or foaming cleanser...my skin feels perfectly balanced, soft and deeply cleansed with no dry or tight feeling.

Since I haven't washed my face with anything else since I got this a few weeks ago,  I think I'm looking at my new holy grail cleanser!

First Look at the New IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Blush

Get ready IT Cosmetics fans, there are some amazing new products launching late next week on QVC and I'll be sharing a few of them with you over the next several days. I shared a sneak peek of a new concealer on my Instagram page last week and today, I'll be sharing a close-up look at the brand new Bye Bye Pores Blush in the shade Naturally Pretty. 

Bye Bye Pores Blush is described as a "poreless finish airbrush brightening blush" and it's infused with silk to give you a buildable, natural looking flush of color that lasts. It comes in a black rubbery compact that reminds me of Nars packaging...definitely a good thing in terms of looks, but on the practical side, it does tend to attract makeup smudges and dust particles over time. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I always try to keep my makeup looking neat so it brings out my OCD side a little bit. 

Inside, there's a mirror in the lid and the blush itself is really pretty...it has a little dot pattern and the IT Cosmetics logo embossed in the center. I wonder if the little dots are supposed to remind you that this will minimize the look of your pores? They look like pores, so that's what it makes me think of, haha! :) 

The formula is soft, silky and nicely pigmented, with one swipe of the brush giving you a pretty flush that looks so natural. I have pretty noticeable pores on my cheeks (which just sort of showed up in my mid 30's...grr) and products that have a lot of shimmer tend accentuate them even more. This goes on so smooth, it actually minimizes the look of my pores. It has a beautiful satin finish that's not totally matte, but the little bit of shimmer it does contain is subtle and natural looking- it's just enough to sort of reflect light away from your skin for an airbrushed effect.

The color Naturally Pretty is perfect for my complexion. Below I'm wearing a light layer that gives a natural flush of pale warm pink that's perfect for everyday. When I build it up, it gives a richer pop of color for a bolder look.

Overall, this is another product from IT Cosmetics that I'm totally smitten with. I love how everything in this line enhances your natural beauty without going overboard. I can't wait to share this launch with you, but at the moment, I'm sworn to secrecy. Stay tuned until late next week and all will be revealed! :)
