New! Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Aquacealer

For the next few hours, QVC is offering a fantastic deal on Tarte's brand new Rainforest of the Sea Aquacealer. It's the full size product with a brush for only $24.38 (normally the brush by itself would cost that much!)
This product isn't even in stores yet, so you're getting it first through QVC.
This is a full coverage serum concealer that is four times lighter than regular concealers and features pigments suspended in a deep-conditioning serum and water for flawless coverage. It comes in six shades and you can see them a bit better if you watch the short video presentation on the QVC website here. This looks amazing and I already placed my order! One of the best parts about ordering from QVC is their amazing 30 day return policy, so if you don't love it, you can send it back, no questions asked.
If this looks interesting to you, don't wait to place your order because once this hits retail stores like Sephora and Ulta, it won't come with the brush and will likely cost quite a bit more.
You can find it now at QVC.com

Physicians Formula Ultra-Nourishing Argan Lip Oil Duo Review

Lip oils have been around a while now, but mostly from higher-end brands like YSL, Clarins and Hourglass. Until now there haven't been any at the drugstores, but that all changed when Milani and Physicians Formula released their own formulas for Spring 2016. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed in the Milani Moisture Lock oils...they seemed to actually make my lips drier, so I was crossing my fingers that the Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Lip Oil Duo ($12.95) would be better. Let's take a look...

Flower Beauty E.E. Erase Everything Ultimate Foundation Review

In my eyes, Drew Barrymore's Flower Beauty line can seriously do no wrong. Her products are high quality, made in the USA and cruelty free. I love the fact that they spend money on the putting the best ingredients into the products instead of spending it on advertising, and also that Drew herself is so involved in the creation of the products. I've been busy testing a slew of new Flower makeup that just launched for Spring 2016 (see my post here for all of the details) and I'm so excited about this one in particular I just couldn't wait to share it with you!
It's called E.E. Erase Everything Ultimate Foundation ($12.98 at Walmart stores), but it's not really just a foundation...it's something totally new that I've never seen before. That's another thing I love about Flower Beauty...they have the coolest new formulas that no one else has (remember these powder-to-cream blushes? I'm obsessed!) So keep on reading and I'll explain everything...

BH Cosmetics Forever Nude Sculpt & Glow Palette Review

Earlier this month, BH Cosmetics was having a killer sale and I picked up a few products that I've been wanting to try for a while, including the Forever Nude Sculpt & Glow Palette (Reg. $23, Currently $11 at bhcosmetics.com). I actually reviewed the original Forever Nude palette a few years back (see that post here) and I really liked it, so I had a good feeling about this one. Let's take a look...

Maybelline Master Contour Palette Review

Maybelline Master Contour Kit ($12.99 at Ulta.com) is brand new for Spring 2016 and I first spotted it at CVS last month in a huge Maybelline display that had a bunch of new products in it. I picked this up with the intention of posting a review soon afterwards, but it kind of got lost in the shuffle during the craziness of the holidays. Thankfully, I'm back on track and posting reviews every day, so to hear my thoughts on this palette, just keep on reading!

Profusion Trendsetter Blush & Bronzer Palette Review

I recently spotted the Profusion Trendsetter Blush & Bronzer Palette ($12.49 at ProfusionCosmetics.com) at Burlington Coat Factory and it was only $7.99, so I grabbed one to review and swatch for you guys. I really didn't need another blush/highlight/bronzer palette, but I've been so impressed with Profusion lately (they've become one of my favorite budget beauty brands), and this palette looked gorgeous so I couldn't pass it up. Let's take a look...

L'oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation Review

L'Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation is brand new for Spring 2016 and is one of the top products you've been asking me to review lately. So...since I've been testing it out for about a month now, I'm ready to share my thoughts with you guys! I found this at Bed, Bath & Beyond for about $13.50, but it's selling at Ulta Beauty and Drugstore.com for about $16.99...definitely on the more expensive side for a drugstore foundation. Still, if you're willing to wait, I'm sure it'll be going on sale at some point, or there will likely be coupons you can use too.

Profusion Absolute Face Palette Review

I've been so impressed with Profusion lately...even though I've been a fan of them for years, their newer products have just been wowing me lately. Two standouts that come to mind are the Studio Highlight Palette and the Make Me Blush set I found at Walgreens- they were both high-end quality at drugstore prices, which is what budget beauty bloggers like me live for!
So I was really excited when Profusion asked me to join their Insiders Program and even more excited when I got a huge box full of Profusion goodies just before Thanksgiving (in case you missed my photo of it on Instagram, here it is). Some of the products that were in the box are products I already own and have reviewed which means I'll be doing some giveaways for you guys...so stay tuned for that!
One of the products I couldn't wait to get my hands on and try was the Absolute Face Palette V2 ($12.49 at Profusioncosmetics.com) which has gotten a makeover for 2015 and contains everything you need in one kit for a flawless face! Let's take a look...

Kiko Cosmic Starlets Moon Dust Blush & Angel Kiss Set Review

kiko cosmic starlets cosmetics
I've fallen in love with Kiko Cosmetics over the past few months and while their regular product lines are amazing, the special collections are my absolute favorites! This month, they launched the Cosmic Starlets collection for Holiday 2015 and everything from the packaging to the products themselves are simply stunning.

I was at the mall last week and wandered into the Kiko store after seeing the Cosmic Starlets collection online and it was tough to choose but I picked up two products to try...the Moon Dust Face Powder Highlighting Baked Blush and the Angel Kiss Set. Let's take a closer look...

Looxi Beauty Highlighter Review & Swatches

I recently discovered indie makeup brand Looxi Beauty on Instagram, where I saw a lot of people that I follow posting swatches of their amazing highlighters. And...since I'm a highlighter junkie, I had to see what all the fuss was about!
I had such a hard time choosing which shades I wanted to try, but I narrowed it down to four. Let's take a closer look and get my take on these, plus see my swatches.

I was browsing on the Drugstore.com website tonight and came across the new Burt's Bees BB Cream $13.49. I haven't seen this in the drugstores yet so it took me by surprise. It comes in three shades: Light, Light/Medium and Medium and claims to be a 9-in-1 formula. Let's take a look...

Revlon Colorstay 2-in-1 Compact Makeup & Concealer Review

I recently spotted the new Revlon Colorstay 2-in-1 Compact Makeup & Concealer at Bed, Bath and Beyond and I've been using it for about a week now so I wanted to do a review/first impression for you guys. I'm not usually a fan of compact makeup, as I've found it to feel very thick and mask-like on my face, but I'm happy to report that this isn't like that at all! So keep on reading to find out all the details...

New Makeup Revolution I Heart Chocolate Palettes

Wow, it's been a while since I've done a Makeup Revolution post! Last year it seemed like they were releasing new products like crazy and I kept buying and reviewing them all. But then the new product launches slowed down a bit...until now! They just released two new I Heart Chocolate Palettes and one of them is a dupe for the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar! Let's take a look...

Revlon Not Just Nudes Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Last week, I spotted the new Revlon Colorstay Not Just Nudes palettes at Walgreens ($14.99 each) and even though I'm not usually a fan of Revlon eyeshadows, I grabbed them both because I knew you guys would probably have questions about these and would be interested to know what they're like. These come in two shades...01 Passionate Nudes, which has warmer tans, browns, gold and bronze and 02 Romantic Nudes, which has cooler browns, pinks, purples and grays.

In general, drugstore eyeshadow palettes have been largely disappointing for me (although the L'oreal La Palette Nudes were the best of the bunch) so I tend to just bite the bullet and buy more expensive ones, and I also look to drugstore alternative brands like City Color, L.A. Girl and Profusion because they're even less expensive than the drugstore and the quality is top-notch.
But that doesn't stop me from wishing that the next drugstore palette will be great, because for the sake of convenience, it would be an amazing thing to just walk into Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aid and pick up a great eyeshadow palette. So keep on reading to see if these new palettes finally get it right!

New Maybelline Products on the Ulta Website

I was just browsing the Ulta website today and found some brand new Maybelline products that I haven't seen out in the stores yet! So far, they've added a lip gloss palette (which I've seen people posting about on Instagram the past few days) and two new palettes that contain eyeshadows, face products and a lip product all in one. Let's take a look!

Maybelline Gilded in Gold and Up In Smoke ($14.99 each at Ulta.com) contain everything you need to do your holiday makeup. Gilded in Gold contains warm bronze tones while Up In Smoke has cooler smoky shades. Both palettes contain four eyeshadows, blush and highlighter, but it looks like one difference between them is that the Gilded in Gold palette has an eyeliner and one lip product while the Up In Smoke palette appears to have two lip products in it.

The palettes appear to have a generously sized mirror as well as a small blush brush and dual sponge-tipped applicator. The outside of the palettes is something different from what we've seen from Maybelline in the past...it's very simple and elegant!

Dry Shampoo I'm Loving Now: Carol's Daughter Monoi Conditioning Dry Shampoo

A Review of Carol's Daughter Monoi Conditioning Dry Shampoo for dark tones, $22 at HSN

I've been a huge fan of Carol's Daughter for several years now...you may remember my reviews of several of their products in the past (see all of my Carol's Daughter Reviews here), but if not, I have to say that when I splurge on hair products, I go for Carol's Daughter every time. The Monoi line is a dream if you have dry hair with any kind of breakage or fallout. I started using it after having a baby and it's been a miracle worker (check out my review of the Monoi shampoo and conditioner with before and after photos of my hair- it's crazy!).
For the record, I am caucasian with baby fine hair that's already dry by nature, but then I torture it with heat styling and coloring too, so it's prone to breakage. Monoi Oil (a blend of Tiare flowers and Coprah Coconut Oil) has been a secret of Tahitian women for centuries and it works wonders to repair my hair without weighing it down or making it feel greasy. It also smells like Heaven!  So when I saw that Carol's Daughter had just released a Monoi dry shampoo, I had to have it. Let's take a look...

Friday Faves- Liquid Lipstick Edition

I'm back with another edition of Friday Faves (how is it Friday already, seriously?), where I talk about my favorite products of-the-moment, both drugstore and high end. This week, I'm featuring my favorite liquid lipsticks (non-matte) in my favorite shades of mauve.  I've never been a red lipstick girl and nude washes me out terribly, but mauves just seem to work well with my complexion and are great for everyday as well as when I'm dressing up.

So let's get started!

The Body Shop Oils of Life Review

Last month, I posted about a brand new skincare range that was launching at The Body Shop called Oils of Life. There are four products in the collection and I ended up going to my local store and getting two of them to try, figuring that if I liked them, I'd go back and get more.
I ended up getting the two products that really caught my attention...an essence lotion and a facial oil. There are also two moisturizers in the line, a lighter gel-creme formulation and a regular creme. Let's take a look!
