If you believe that what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in it, you're going to love Nourish Organic! Based in Beaver Falls, PA they produce natural, organic, eco-friendly skincare products that really work, with ingredient lists you can pronounce and feel good about. I recently had the opportunity to try some of their products and I couldn't wait to share my thoughts with you. Let's get started!
First and foremost, I was really impressed by the Pledge of Purity on every box, which states that the products do not contain:
parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, artificial fragrances or preservatives, silicones, propylene glycol, mineral oils, sulfates, synthetic dyes, triclosan, EDTA or aluminum.
Nourish Organic is chemical free, cruelty free and concern free. The best part is, these products are affordable and can be found at stores like Target, Whole Foods, and the Vitamin Shoppe.
The first product I tried from the brand is their new Skin Solve Cream-to-Oil All-Over Treatment ($19.99). If you love the deep hydration you can get from oils but don't want the mess, this starts as a creamy base and melts into an oil when it touches your skin. It smells heavenly, thanks to the Sweet Orange Oil...it kind of reminds me of a creamcicle.
You can use this anywhere on the body, "from eyelids to elbows"! You can use it to hydrate your lips, soften your cuticles, smooth flyaways in your hair...just about anything you can think of! I love to use it on my lips at night and all of the usual places I have rougher skin patches (knees, elbows, feet). It soaks in quickly and doesn't leave a greasy mess. I would say it's a 100% natural dupe for Josie Maran's Infinity Creamy Oil!
Skin Solve contains an impressive ingredient list full of natural oils and butters. The 13 all-organic ingredients are:
Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, Beeswax, Cupuacu Butter, Cocoa Seed Butter, Sweet Orange Oil, Soy Lecithin, Vitamin E, Pumpkin Seed Oil, and Palmarosa Oil.
One thing I wanted to mention, is that the box says to store it at room temperature because it will thicken at cooler temps and thin out at warmer temps. When I first got this, it had been sitting in the mailbox on a warm day and when I opened the tube, it was thin like an oil. So I popped it into the fridge for a while and it thickened up into a butter-like consistency and was hard to squeeze out. But once I took it out of the fridge and left it on my counter for a while, it went to it's normal consistency, which is a cream and it's stayed that way ever since (we have central air in our house so it's been at a steady room temperature).
This is what it looks like straight from the tube...it's yellow in color and has a soft creamy texture.
When you start to rub it into the skin, it turns into an oil that feels so nourishing and sinks right into your skin.
Overall, I absolutely love Skin Solve...it's a great all-in-one product that has so many amazing ingredients. It makes my dry patches vanish and smells great too...I couldn't ask for more!
Next, I wanted to try the Nourish Organic Argan Face Serum (Reg. $23.99, on Currently on sale for $17.99). I have dry skin and this is formulated for normal to dry skin types. It claims to restore moisture, brighten the complexion and revitalize the skin with essential nutrients.
As we head into the fall and winter, my skin always craves extra moisture and I was using straight Argan Oil on my face last year, which was great. But this formula contains not only argan oil, but also jojoba oil which is the most similar in its structure to our skin's own natural sebum. This formula also contains Rosehip oil, which is filled with vitamins and antioxidants and has been said to smooth and correct the skin's texture and tone by helping to fade dark spots, acne scars, and fine lines.
The Argan Face Serum contains only 7 natural organic ingredients:
Safflower Seed Oil, Argan Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Sweet Orange Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, and Vitamin E.
It has a thin texture that absorbs easily like most face serums do, but because it's made up of oils, it feels much more hydrating than your typical face serum. This is why it's best for normal to dry skin, as those with oily skin might find this heavy for a serum.
Still, if you're oily, you could use this as an overnight moisturizer rather than a serum to help revitalize the skin.
Next I wanted to try one of their Argan body products so I went with the Rejuvenating Argan Butter (Reg. $14.99, Currently on sale for $11.99). This rich butter helps to heal dry skin with a blend of Shea Butter, Argan Oil and Coconut Oil.
This formula is made with 56% Fair Trade Certified Ingredients, including:
Shea Butter, Sunflower Seed Oil, Argan Oil, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Infused Sunflower Seed Oil, Corn Starch, Coconut Oil and Vitamin E.
Unlike some body butters that have a creamy texture, this one is actually a solid.
The second it touches your skin, it warms up and turns into a soft, buttery texture that melts in and absorbs quickly. It doesn't seem to have a scent, at least to my nose, which is great because then it doesn't compete with my perfume. I also love to use this at night before bed, as an allover softening treatment...I wake up in the morning with the softest, smoothest skin and no more dry patches!
Overall, I'm so happy to have found Nourish Organic and I can't wait to try more of their products! They create high quality products that are truly all natural and do what they claim to do...not to mention they're affordable and easy to find at your local Target or Whole Foods (for a list of all the stores they're in, click here).
Have you tried Nourish Organic yet? If so, what are your favorite products?

I LOVE Nourish Organic. My favorites are the almond vanilla body products, they smell so good! I bought the set with the body wash, body lotion, hand wash and body butter to put in my guest bathroom and every time someone comes over they say they want to steal them. LOL
ReplyDeleteI have to try that Skin Solve though, it looks great. Thanks for the review!
Ooh Almond Vanilla sounds delicious! I need to try that one next. :)
DeleteI haven't tried anything from this brand but I'm intrigued. I love their purity guarantee, it's hard to find brands that are free of that many things (and inexpensive to boot). Great post!
ReplyDeleteI love that about them too! Not many brands can say that! :)
DeleteI need that Skin Solve in my life! My friends have been bugging me to try that Josie Maran one but I think I'll save some cash and try this instead.
