The Sweet 16 It Girl Palette comes in a slim black case that's very sturdy and feels high-end. It's a little on the small side, but I guess that makes it a good palette for travel or to keep in your purse.  I have to say..I don't feel like this is an everyday palette- at least not for me since I typically wear more natural looking shades most days. I feel like I would probably break this out for nighttime use only.

Skinfood Cacao Hand Balm Review

Skinfood Cacao Hand Balm ($8) is a super nourishing treatment for dry hands that I've become obsessed with the past week or so.  I had heard that they were opening a Skinfood store at the Palisades Mall in Nyack, NY which is fairly close to me, and you guys know how much I love Skinfood! They're my favorite Korean beauty brand and they're so hard to find...they only have a handful of stores in the NY and California markets and you're not able to order from their website yet. Stores like Urban Outfitters have started to carry select Skinfood products, but I really wanted access to their entire line, so needless to say, I was pretty psyched that they opened a store so close!

I picked up a few items, including this Cacao Hand Balm.  I fell in love with it as soon as I tried the tester on the back of my hand...it had to be mine, haha! It comes in a cute little jar and it's only $8. 

Memebox Soothing Sista Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

I was recently given the opportunity to test out the new Soothing Sista (AKA Stephanie Villa) Eyeshadow Quad ($17) from Memebox and I was really excited because I've been watching her tutorials on her You Tube Channel for a while now and I think she's awesome.  So...let's take a look!

The box the palette comes in has a photo of Stephanie on the front, standing outside her old apartment in San Francisco. The palette itself is black with her logo on the front. It feels super solid and not cheap or lightweight at all.  I love the sleekness of it...it's pretty thin and would be easy to travel with.

This palette is paraben free, cruelty-free and made in the USA!

The rosy brown shades are right up my alley...I love rose-toned shades. Each one is named after her favorite places in San Francisco:

I was so psyched when my latest Memebox arrived on my doorstep, because it's an entire Korean skincare routine in a box (minus the cleanser but I have enough of those anyway)! Korean products are also typically filled with active ingredients rather than a lot of filler, and the market is so competitive there, the products are often a lot cheaper than an equivalent product here in the US.

Memebox Thanksgiving Box Collection #2 Review

I'm really behind on my latest Memebox review!  It was sitting on my doorstep on Christmas Eve when I got home late from my in-laws and then we were travelling all over between different family get-togethers so things have been hectic the past few weeks.  

This is actually the Thanksgiving Edition, and while the holidays are now behind us, I just have to say...this is my favorite Memebox to date!  

The idea behind the Thanksgiving box was really cute...there was a box "for me" and "for you", the idea being to keep the "for me" box and gift the "for you" box to a friend or family member over the holidays.  I got the "for you" box to try and it's packed with some really innovative and unique Korean beauty products...take a look!

When you open the box, there's a really nice sentiment, thanking the person for being beautiful and making the world a better place.

They included the standard card (which is a lifesaver) that explains all of the products since they're mostly in Korean.

Memebox Princess Edition #1 Snow White Review and Unboxing

It's time for another Memebox review!  This week, I received one of the Princess Edition boxes and I was psyched because I had seen these on their site, but never expected to get one...yay!  This box is the Snow White edition...and you guessed it!  It's packed with 6 full-sized products to even out your skintone and fade spots.  Now that I'm in my mid-thirties, I've come to realize how important an even tone is for anti-aging...it's not all about wrinkles!  When I look back at photos of myself in my 20's I had such clear, even skin and now I have all these freckles and sun spots to cover up and it definitely makes me look older...probably even more than fine lines do (this is yet another reason to wear sunscreen!).  So this box was a very welcome sight!

When I opened this Superbox, I was excited to see that the theme is honey!  Since I have dry skin, I love products that contain honey because they are so soothing and hydrating. Memebox Review Special #6 Whole Grain Box

I read somewhere recently that Korean skincare is about 12 years ahead of the US in terms of technology, but it's always been pretty difficult to find here in the States.  So I was totally excited when I found out I would get to review Memebox (pronounced Mi-Mi Box), which brings the best of Korean beauty products to the US!  It's not a monthly subscription service, instead, you can choose which box to purchase and when (there are 4 types of boxes).  The basic Memebox comes in regular and special edition (which has a specific theme).  They're $23 and come packed with 4-8 full sized and deluxe samples. The next step up is a Superbox which varies in price and contains only full-sized products.  Then Luckybox brings back products from previously sold-out boxes in case you missed one.  

My first Memebox is a Special Edition box and the theme is Whole Grain, containing skincare products made with extracts of whole grains leaving the skin soft, smooth and radiant.  It came with 8 products, 5 of which are full sizes!  

My Memebox came in a bright pink envelope and the box itself was also bright pink- so pretty!
