The New Cocoa Shock Blushes From Kiko Are Just Too Cute

You guys probably know by now that I'm a bit of a blush addict...I have a hard time resisting every time a new one launches, whether it's drugstore or high-end, singles or palettes.
But when a new blush comes in the cutest packaging ever? Let's just say my willpower goes right out the window and that's exactly what happened when I walked into Kiko Milano last week and spotted the new Cocoa Shock Blush Duos ($18).
Kiko Lovegrove Collection Haul

I've been lusting after the Kiko Milano Lovegrove limited edition summer collection since the Spring when I saw sneak peeks on social media. The rose gold packaging is designed by Ross Lovegrove (an industrial designer from Wales) and it's some of the most beautiful makeup packaging ever...especially at an affordable price! Everything looks really high-end and I love the beautiful texture that the embossed pattern gives the products. I happen to have a Kiko store at my local mall so I picked up a few products to try and have been using them for a while now, so I thought I'd do some mini reviews on each one.
Let's take a look!
Desert Dunes Trio Baked Blush in Lust Coral
$18 at KikoCosmetics.com
Kiko's baked blushes are made in Italy and this one is infused with a beautiful scent that almost smells like Too Faced's chocolate products...it's supposed to be vanilla but it smells a bit like chocolate to me...with maybe a little vanilla in there. It's not strong or overpowering and you don't notice it once the product is on your face. It just smells so delicious in the pan!
Let's just take a second to admire this rose gold compact...just stunning!
Inside, there's a mirror and the baked blush, which has three different tones. I should also mention that these come in three different options...Lust Coral (which is the one I have), Gypsy Pink, and Impulsive Mauve.
The blush is generously sized which means you can use this many different ways. You can use each shade individually, or mix just the lighter two shades, just the darker two shades, or swirl them all together. The texture is fantastic...it picks up easily and feels so smooth and silky, which is one of the reasons I love baked blushes (think Milani and Laura Geller). This one doesn't have a lot of shimmer, which I like. I have a lot of shimmery baked blushes, so it's nice to have an option that's a little more satiny (it's not completely matte).
Mirage Lip Stylo in Fired Earth Pink
$15 at KikoCosmetics.com
The packaging of this lipstick looks so beautiful and high-end, I actually love pulling it out of my purse and hearing people say, "oh my gosh, what brand is that??" When I tell them, they can't believe it's not more expensive. It has a unique design that's tapered in the middle, almost like an hourglass and it has a really strong magnetic closure. When I go to replace the cap, the magnet just sucks it together by the time I get the cap halfway down the tube.
This lipstick claims to have the coverage of a lipstick, the shine of a gloss, and the comfort and feel of a balm. I would agree with two out of three...it does have amazing coverage and feels super hydrating just like a balm, but while it gives a little bit of shine, it's not as much as a lip gloss would give in my opinion.
Wear time isn't terrible, but because of the melty texture it does wear off in a couple of hours. That being said, it doesn't claim to be long-wearing, so I didn't expect it to be. It actually does stain my lips just a little bit so the stain lasts for a while after the lipstick has worn off.
It doesn't seem to have any scent whatsoever and comes in 15 shades.
Heatwave Lip Oil
$14 at KikoCosmetics.com
Lip oils are huge right now and I couldn't resist trying this one because it comes in delicious flavors like Coconut, Vanilla, and Grapefruit. Normally I'm all about coconut, but when I got to the store, I actually liked the vanilla-scented one a little bit better. This formula is enriched with jojoba oil, shea butter, wild mango butter, and vitamin E. It feels nice going on, but my dry lips just suck it right in and my lips feel dry again a little while later...kind of like how the Milani ones were. I want to love lip oils but so far they don't seem to keep my lips feeling as moisturized as a balm or even a gloss because they disappear so quickly and I find myself constantly reapplying. For me this one was a miss, although I did love the scent and the packaging.
In the swatches below, you can see that the lip oil goes on clear even though it looks pink in the tube. The Mirage Lip Stylo in Fired Earth Pink is a beautiful pinky-peach nude color...sort of a MLBB shade. The bottom swatch is the blush in the shade Lust Coral, which is a gorgeous peachy nude with all three shades swirled together. You can see how it has more of a satiny finish than a shimmer or matte finish.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, I give the Kiko Lovegrove collection two thumbs up for packaging...very well done! I also love the products I got with the exception of the lip oil...and honestly it's not necessarily this lip oil that's the problem, I'm just not a fan of them in general. But that doesn't stop me from trying them...maybe one day I'll find one I really like!

Remember last week when I posted a sneak peek of the ridiculously beautiful Kiko Summer 2016 Wanderlust collection? Well it's finally here in the States and everything is priced between $11-$32...pretty good considering it all looks super high-end. Plus, Kiko's special editions never disappoint in terms of quality.
I'm going to need the Heatwave Lip Oils ($14), Desert Dunes Baked Blush Trio ($18), Mirage Lip Stylo ($15), and Desert Moon Highlighter Pearls ($21) at the very least!
Well, I'm off to the Kiko store at my local mall tomorrow, so I'll definitely be reviewing what I pick up. :)

Get Ready to Drool Over the New Kiko Wanderlust Collection

*I should preface this post by saying that this collection isn't available in the US just yet, but it recently launched in Europe and is heading our way shortly. I reached out to Kiko to find out but all they could reveal is that it'll be here "soon" so I'm hoping that means early May!
I see a lot of similarities between this collection and the Modern Tribes collection that launched last year for Summer 2015. This bronzer, for example, reminds me of the marbled Modern Tribes bronzer that came in that really cool wooden box (see my review from last July here), except this one comes in gorgeous rose gold packaging designed by Ross Lovegrove, a Welsh industrial designer. Like last year, this collection also includes luminizing pearls, lip crayons, and blush trio compacts.
These Free Spirit Lip & Cheek crayons have a semi-matte finish so they'll dry down nicely and won't leave your skin shiny. They're enriched with Vitamin E for a creamy and smooth application. I love these shades...they're perfect for summer!
The Heatwave Lip Oil has a coconut, grapefruit and vanilla scent (yum!) and comes in three beautiful shades.
And these Mirage Lip Stylos...are. stunning. The packaging in this collection looks so high-end, it's crazy! Kiko's Lip Stylos are usually between $8 and $10 but they look so much more expensive, don't they?
The Wanderlust collection also includes a DD Cream, Cream Foundation, Powder Foundation, Blush Trio, Highlighting Pearls, two fragrances and a lot more. You can check out the whole collection on the Kiko UK website here...I've been making a list of all of the things I want to try when this collection launches (which is pretty much everything!).
You can also visit the Kiko US site here to view their current collections. The Spring 2016 Artist collection is really pretty too...I've been eyeing those beautiful blushes!
What do you think of Kiko Wanderlust? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Kiko Cosmic Starlets Moon Dust Blush & Angel Kiss Set Review
November 24, 2015

I've fallen in love with Kiko Cosmetics over the past few months and while their regular product lines are amazing, the special collections are my absolute favorites! This month, they launched the Cosmic Starlets collection for Holiday 2015 and everything from the packaging to the products themselves are simply stunning.
I was at the mall last week and wandered into the Kiko store after seeing the Cosmic Starlets collection online and it was tough to choose but I picked up two products to try...the Moon Dust Face Powder Highlighting Baked Blush and the Angel Kiss Set. Let's take a closer look...
Kiko Cosmetics Rebel Romantic Collection First Impressions & Swatches

Recently, I posted about Kiko's fall 2015 collection Rebel Romantic and Kiko generously offered to send me some products to try! I was beyond excited because even though Kiko is relatively new to the US, they have a store where I live and I've tried a few products so far that I was very impressed with. This new collection is just gorgeous...the packaging is rose gold (think Charlotte Tilbury) and will look beautiful sitting on my vanity table, or pulling it out of my purse. The whole collection is whimsical, ethereal and soft. Let's take a closer look...
Kiko Rebel Romantic Collection for Fall 2015

Kiko Milano, the Italian beauty brand that's been taking the US by storm the past several months has just released a new collection for Fall 2015 called Rebel Romantic. I like Kiko's regular product lines a lot, but their special collections are my favorites so far (case in point, the Modern Tribes bronzer I reviewed last month). This new collection has me lusting after several different products...partly because of the beautiful rose gold, art nouveau packaging (isn't it so pretty?) Let's take a look...
Kiko Modern Tribes Essential Bronzer Review & Swatches

Kiko Essential Bronzer from the Modern Tribes Collection ($27, On Sale $12.90) is hands down one of the most beautiful bronzers I've ever seen with it's wooden packaging and marbled powder. A Kiko store just opened near me and I was so excited to finally purchase some of their products after seeing raves on YouTube and Instagram...but then I hesitated to review them because they had no online store in the US and only a few retail stores on the East Coast. I felt bad posting a review of a product that not everyone would have access to, but that's all changed thanks to the fact that Kiko has just opened up their US web store! Plus, for a limited time, a lot of site is on sale, including this bronzer so it's a great time to grab it if you want one. So let's take a look!

Kiko Cosmetics US Online Store Open Now!

This is great news because it's the same sale they had when my local store opened, and I got some of their single eyeshadows for only $1.90 each (regularly $6 each), so if you want to try them, now's the time!
There are two other products I bought that I've been in love with, in case you're looking for some inspiration right away and don't want to wait for my reviews:
The Limited Edition Modern Tribes Bronzer $12.90 (reg. $27)- I had seen this reviewed on YouTube and Instagram and it was the one thing I knew for sure I wanted when I went to the Kiko store for the first time. It comes in a huge wooden box with a magnetic closure and it is the most gorgeous color (I got Warm Melange). It blends beautfully and smells delicious...like vanilla and chocolate swirled together. If you're interested in this one, be sure to get it now while the sale is going on, because it's much cheaper!
The other thing I got that I'm loving is the Ultra Glossy Stylo Lipstick ($8). It's pigmented like a lipstick but feels moisturizing going on and has a really shiny finish like a gloss! Since I'm not a matte lipstick fan, this was right up my alley. I got the shade 813 Apple Blossom, which is a really pretty mauve pink (it looks different online for some reason).
I'll be reviewing both of these products very soon now that I know that everyone has the opportunity to order them! :)
Have you tried Kiko yet? If so, let us know what your favorite products are! It'll really help out other readers who are ordering for the first time.
