Pixi Nourishing Lip Polish Review

About a month ago, I was at Target and hauled a bunch of the new Pixi Skintreats products.  One of them was the Nourishing Lip Polish ($12) and I've been dying to do a quick review on this because I've really been enjoying it...it's like no other lip polish you've tried! Let's take a look...
pixi skintreats nourishing lip polish review

Decsription: This 2-in-1 lip exfoliator + nourisher helps to repair & protect dry, sensitive lips. Luxe, nutrient-rich formula smoothes lips with shea butter & a blend of sweet almond, apricot, and evening primrose oils. The unique massage applicator stimulates circulation, giving a healthy, plumped effect.

Price/Where to Buy: $12 at Target.com and select Target stores (that carry Pixi Beauty).

Quick Verdict: This is a really unique mess-free lip scrub...I love it!

When I first purchased this, I assumed it was like any other lip scrub...a balm with a gritty texture that I'd apply from the tube and then use my finger to scrub it back and forth on my lips before tissuing it off.

But then I opened the cap and realized that the applicator is the part that scrubs. It has little silicone nubbies that are flexible so they move back and forth as you move it across your lips. It feels really soft and not scratchy at all, and it feels like you're giving your lips a nice massage. Once you're finished, your lips look a little plumper due to increased circulation, although the effect is temporary.

The balm inside is liquidy, more like like a gloss and it feels silky smooth and hydrating. It also tastes sweet, like sugar! There's no mess involved in applying this at all, just swipe it back and forth and then leave it on as a treatment balm. I like to use it just before bed and then leave the balm on overnight. If my lips are extra dry, I'll layer the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask on top.

Overall, I love how this lip polish is a one-step wonder. There's no dipping your fingers into a pot and no need to remove the product when you're finished. You could use this anywhere without a problem, because it's not any more complicated than applying a lip balm. The slim tube is also very travel friendly...I plan to pick up another one to throw in my purse since this one has earned a place on my nightstand.

You can grab this now at Target.com and select Target stores where Pixi is sold.

Pixi Skintreats Now at Target

I totally freaked when I walked into Target yesterday and saw that Pixi Beauty has brought their Skintreats into stores (isn't that such a cute name for a skincare line?). I'm obsessed with their Glow Tonic (see my review here) and I was beyond happy when that finally arrived at Target last summer so I didn't have to order it online anymore. Now all of a sudden I'm overwhelmed with new skincare goodies to try (in a good way)! So today I wanted to create a little guide to all the new products and break it down by category to make it easier, since there's a lot to sort through on the Target website. So if you're interested, just keep on reading!

Pixi Beauty Fall 2015 Collection

Pixi Beauty has become one of my favorite brands the past year or so...I started with their Shea Butter tinted lip balms that I purchased on a whim at Target and loved them so much, I started picking up a new Pixi product every time I went back!
They're definitely on the more expensive side for Target, but are pretty affordable if you're comparing them to most of the brands at Sephora. I would say they're a nice middle-ground...with Pixi, you're getting the great quality of a higher-end brand at a lower price point.
So I was really excited to see some new Fall 2015 products pop up on the Pixi Beauty website (I haven't seen them in Target yet) and I wanted to share them with you!

Pixi Glow Tonic Review

Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner ($29 at Pixibeauty.com) is an oil-free, alcohol-free toner that promises to exfoliate, smooth, and brighten the look of your skin. It has a cult following around the world and I finally broke down and ordered some...unfortunately it's not sold at Target with the rest of the line, it's only available from Pixibeauty.com. So is it worth the hype?  Read on to find out!

Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer Review

I'm going to just come right out and say that Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer ($22) is my new favorite primer! I've been on a bit of a Pixi kick lately, after trying (and loving) the Shea Butter Lip Balms, and then more recently, the Glow Mist, and when I start liking products from a brand, I can't stop myself, I just want to try more and more things! It also doesn't help that Pixi is available right at Target which is like, 5 minutes from my house. I can stand in there for half an hour playing with all the testers...but I usually don't because my 2 year old won't sit in the cart that long.
On a recent trip, I picked up the Flawless Beauty Primer.  Yes, $22 is a bit steep for a primer at Target, but it's 1 full oz. of product and you don't need a lot, so it's going to last a really long time. They also have smaller travel sizes for $9 that you can buy first to see if you like it!

Pixi Glow Mist Review

Pixi Glow Mist ($15 at Target) was one of those total impulse purchases for me.  I was at Target a few weeks ago buying more of the Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balms and I spotted this along with a few other new products for Spring 2015.  I just couldn't resist it...I'm a sucker for face mists! Let's take a look...

Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm Review and Swatches

Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm ($8, at Target) has been around for a while, but I wanted to finally review and swatch them for you guys because I just picked up three new shades. I've owned this balm in Natural Rose for several months now and it's one of my absolute favorite lip products so I just had to get some more shades for summer. Let's take a look...
Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm Review and Swatches
This balm comes in six shades, and the only two I don't own are a clear version and a shade called Ripe Raspberry which is a reddish color and the darkest of the six.  I absolutely adore the formula of these...they're a tinted lip balm that's enriched with Shea Butter and Castor Seed Oil, but they're actually so much more than just a tinted balm!
