Yes to Coconut Cooling Lip Oil Review
August 19, 2014
I'm a huge fan of the Yes To brand and I almost died when they came out with a coconut line, since me+coconut=bestbuds.
Back in July, I found a couple of the products at Walgreens, but just recently found the entire coconut line at Target. So I had to restrain myself from blowing my entire August budget on my own personal coconut empire and just stick to one or two things.
So I picked up the Cooling Lip Oil ($4.99), since it's a pretty unique product for the drugstore ( I saw at Sephora that Hourglass makes a lip oil, but it's $45...sheesh!). I'm pretty sure no other drugstore brand makes a lip oil, so this was a must-have. I also found out that this is exclusive to Target right now, so you won't find it anywhere else.
This lip oil is chock full of super moisturizing oils that are natural. You won't find petroleum, parabens, or SLS, but you will find Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Cacao Seed Butter, Olive Fruit Oil and other herbal and fruit extracts including Eucalyptus Oil. The Eucalyptus is what gives this its very slight cooling sensation. I was happy that there was no menthol in here, because I usually stay away from products that say cooling because they have menthol and they smell medicinal to me. I hate that!
It comes in a clear plastic squeeze tube with a lip gloss type applicator tip.
This oil isn't runny like a body oil would be. It's somewhere in between a lip gloss and a body oil. It has a bit of thickness but still is able to pentetrate your lips while leaving a light glossy layer on top. It's not sticky at all- it feels smooth and smells mostly like coconut with just the slightest hint of eucalyptus.
Overall, this is a great lip moisturizer for only $4.99! It contains high-end natural ingredients, rather than petroleum or mineral oil. If you're a fan of coconut, you'll want to pick this up at your local Target!
