Yes to Miracle Oil Spotted at Walmart

I was at Walmart yesterday and spotted the new Yes to Miracle Oil line! Well, at least part of it...I didn't see the Lip Oils or Mud Masks...but I did find the cleansing wipes and facial oils. Let's take a look!

The facial oils are $12.97 and come in adorable little dropper bottles and there are two types...Argan Oil and Primrose Oil. The Argan formula is supposed to add radiance and hydration to dull, dry skin, while the anti-inflammatory properties of Primrose Oil are said to heal red or inflamed skin, whether you have acne or rosacea.

The wipes also come in Argan and Primrose Oil formulas and are meant to be a 2-in-1 product that both cleanses and moisturizes.

Yes to Coconut Cooling Lip Oil Review

I'm a huge fan of the Yes To brand and I almost died when they came out with a coconut line, since me+coconut=bestbuds.
Back in July, I found a couple of the products at Walgreens, but just recently found the entire coconut line at Target. So I had to restrain myself from blowing my entire August budget on my own personal coconut empire and just stick to one or two things.
So I picked up the Cooling Lip Oil ($4.99), since it's a pretty unique product for the drugstore ( I saw at Sephora that Hourglass makes a lip oil, but it's $45...sheesh!). I'm pretty sure no other drugstore brand makes a lip oil, so this was a must-have. I also found out that this is exclusive to Target right now, so you won't find it anywhere else.

Yes to Coconut Ultra Light Spray Body Lotion Review

Yes to Coconut is a new line from Yes to Carrots that's right up my alley- I'm a sucker for anything coconut scented.  It transports me back to carefree summer vacations and lying on the beach soaking up the sun (before I knew it was bad for me, pre-skin cancer, of course).  For the lowdown on the full Yes to Coconut line, check out my post here (if you've read it already I've added more products to it since the original posting), but this review is for the Ultra Light Spray Body Lotion. 

This lotion comes in a 10 oz bottle with a spray nozzle, similar to what you'd see in a hair product.  It has a locking mechanism on it, which is great for travel so it won't spray out all over your suitcase.

Since the bottle is curved, it's hard to capture a photo of the entire ingredients list and description, so I'll post them below.  This lotion contains virgin coconut oil and sunflower oil to give the skin a healthy dose of moisture.

The description on the Yes to Carrots website is:

A super light body lotion that sprays on evenly and leaves no greasy residue.This lotion has made applying lotion all over that gorgeous bod of yours? so easy! This super snazzy formula contains Virgin Coconut and super-light Jojoba Oils which penetrate the skin in a way that only few oils can. The photo below is what it looks like right after it's sprayed onto the skin.  You can see that it's not a mist like some other spray lotions- it's thicker than that.  Yet you barely have to rub it in, it soaks in so quickly and disappears, leaving no residue or tackiness whatsoever.  It truly has an ultra-light feel, which is perfect for summer! 
Since it's not a heavy lotion, this wouldn't cut it for my dry skin in the winter, but it gives just the right amount of moisture in the summertime and I love the fact that you don't feel it sitting on top of your skin. 

As for the scent, well, if you're a coconut lover you're going to freak when you smell this- it's delicious!  It smells like a pina colada being served on a tropical beach under a palm tree.  I couldn't stop smelling my arm all day.

This lotion is something that I'll probably wear all summer and then switch to a heavier product come fall when my skin gets super dry.  For now, I'm loving it even though my husband hates the scent of coconut and last night he said that it's even rubbing off on the baby so he also smells like a coconut. I don't care- I love it so much, I'm willing to deal with the complaints for a while. :)

Coconut lovers rejoice! Yes to Carrots is coming out with a coconut line. It's on their website but currently there's no way to order- it just says "Coming Soon".  I'm going to check at Walgreens because they have the Yes To lines there, but it may be a little while before we see this in the stores.
I have a bit of an addiction to coconut scented products and have drawers full of them in my bathroom.  I guess it's because it reminds me of the beach and when I wear it, I feel like I'm on vacation.

More New Drugstore Products- New Baby Lips shades, Lumene BB Cream, John Frieda Luxurious Volume and More!

Yesterday, I posted some photos I took at my local Walgreens of new 2013 products that are already popping up.  I wasn't able to get them all, so I went back today and got some more. I apologize if they're not super close-up, but the displays were all the way up on top of the shelving units, so I had to just hold my phone up as high as I could and hope for the best!

First, is John Frieda's Luxurious Volume collection.  It looks like it's been repackaged (from blue bottles to green) , but I'm not sure if the formulas have been changed also.  They still have a shampoo, conditioner, mousse and root lifter, but there is a new product which is an allover volume boosting spray that is supposed to be sprayed from roots to ends and plump up fine hair.  I purchased it, so I'll be posting a review after I test it for a few days. 

Next is Maybelline Baby Lips- they've launched several new limited edition shades, and a lot of them look really pretty.  It was hard to choose but I ended up getting the one in the green tube, which is a melon scent and a pretty rosy pink shade.

Lumene has launched an anti-aging BB Cream, which I'm really excited about.  Even though I haven't loved any of the BB's that have come out in the drugstore so far, I still get excited about them anyway.  I guess I keep hoping that one of them will be amazing.  

Finally, Yes To has launched Yes To Grapefruit, and it's a Correct and Repair line.  It includes a face scrub, dark spot correcting serum, dark circle correcting eye cream, and Brightening makeup remover towelettes that exfoliate with grapefruit.

Yes to Carrots has launched a haircare line, now available on their website.  I love their skincare products, so I think these are going to be great!  Hopefully we'll see them in the drugstores soon, but for now, here's the lowdown on the new products...

Yes To Carrots Color Balm Soft Plum is a Clinique Black Honey Dupe!

A few weeks ago, I reviewed the new Yes To Carrots Color Balm in Rosy Bloom, and one of my awesome readers, Alysssa, mentioned that the soft plum color could pass for a Clinique Black Honey dupe.  The problem was, everyone else apparently loves Soft Plum too, because it was sold out at my local Walgreens! I've been checking back every couple of days, but it hasn't come back in stock.

Then last night, I was passing through another town and spotted a Walgreens, and because I've been obsessed with finding this color, I had to stop and see if they had it.  They did!  

The formula is the same awesome, unscented, super moisturizing, lip softening balm as the one I previously reviewed, the only difference is the color.  

You can see from the picture that the lip balm itself looks really dark.  Just like Black Honey, it looks dark, but goes on really sheer and beautiful.

Overall, I think this color definitely rivals Black Honey, at least on me.  I also can't even describe how wonderful this feels on my lips.  It's so lightweight, not greasy or sticky.  It feels like silk, is super moisturizing, and just sort of sinks right in rather than sitting on top of the lips.  It's totally worth the $5.99, no question.

Yes To Carrots Color Balm Review- Rosy Bloom Swatch

There are a lot of new color balms on the market, and I'm definitely a fan of them, but what separates this one from some of the others is that it's 100% natural. Here's the ingredient panel- it has some really moisturizing oils and butters in it. 

There are three colors: Peachy Keen, Rosy Bloom and Soft Plum. 

When I opened the tube of the Rosy Bloom shade I bought, I was a little taken aback by the color- it looks like a rust orange color, yet the tube is pink. I was a little worried that it was going to look orange on my lips.  

The color is actually very subtle on my lips, and it is definitely not orange!  It gives just a hint of rosiness, and has less color than Revlon's Colorburst Lip Butter or L'oreal's Color Riche Balm.  The wonderful thing about this balm, compared to the others, is that it literally has no scent whatsoever.  You know how some unscented products still have their own scent, like a sort of waxy smell?  This one doesn't- it's truly unscented. 
Also, I would say this one is more moisturizing than the other tinted balms I've tried, but without being heavy at all.  It's also a little more matte- it just melts right into the lips, and feels amazingly moist and smooth. I've been using this non-stop for two days, and I just love the feel of it.

I'd love to try the Soft Plum color also- it looked a bit darker in the tube, but now that I know these aren't that pigmented, I'd be willing to try it.
