Check Out This Vera Mona Color Switch Dupe!

I've been seeing this around YouTube and had to share it with you guys (I'm sure some of you have seen it already). For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Vera Mona Color Switch is a dry sponge that comes in a little tin and it's used to clean your makeup brushes quickly and without water. 

This way, when you're using a specific shade and you want to switch to a different shade using the same brush, you can just swirl it around on the sponge and it cleans your brush so you can dip into another color. It's a cool product and gets rave reviews, but it's $18....for a sponge...in a little tin. 

So it turns out that the material that's used to make those hair donuts (you know the ones you can use to make a "perfect" bun?) is pretty much the same stuff! The one pictured above is from Forever 21, but you can get them at just about any drugstore, supermarket, etc. 

Last night I grabbed one of my old hair donuts and tested it out...it worked great! I'm so glad I didn't spend a ton of money on Color Switch!

Profusion Studio Blush Palette Review and Swatches

If you've been following me for a while, you probably know that I've turned into quite a Profusion Cosmetics junkie lately. Their newest products have left me so impressed, especially the Studio Contour and Studio Highlight palette (see my reviews here and here). So when I saw their Studio Blush Palette on their website and I knew that it had to be mine. Luckily, before I even had to place an order, I spotted it at my local Kmart (I didn't even know they carried Profusion!). It looked even more beautiful in person, and at only $5.99 (or $1 per blush-crazy right?) I couldn't resist. Let's take a look...

Becca Champagne Pop Dupe!

Who would have thought that a recent ELF haul would lead me to a Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop dupe?! I purchased a bunch of ELF baked products last week (you'll be seeing some reviews soon) and I couldn't help but notice that their Baked Eyeshadow in Enchanted looked a lot like Champagne Pop in the pan. So I did what any makeup lover would do and swatched them side by side...and I could hardly believe my eyes! 

These are so close, it's just crazy. Enchanted might have the slightest bit more pink or peach in it, but when they're sheered out on the cheeks, you can't tell the difference at all. I realize that Enchanted is an eyeshadow, but who says you can't use it someplace else, right? It's only $3 and Champagne Pop is $38, so it's a total steal if you want the same effect.

Is Hard Candy's Tiki Bronzer a Mary-Lou Manizer Dupe?

The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer ($24 at Kohls) is my favorite powder highlighter...the color is so on-point, the shimmer is very fine with no chunks of glitter, and the soft buttery texture makes it really easy to blend. I think a lot of you feel the same way about it because over the years, finding a Mary-Lou Manizer dupe is something I've gotten many requests for. Whenever I review a new highlighter, I pull out Mary-Lou and see if it's a dupe, but so far I haven't found anything that comes close to the color...until now! 

It came from the most unlikely place too...a bronzer. Hard Candy's So Baked bronzer ($10 at Walmart) comes in four shades and the lightest one, Tiki is more golden than bronze. I assume it's meant to be a bronzer for fair skin tones but it's way too shimmery for all over bronzer use. That got me thinking about using it as a highlighter and when I compared it to Mary-Lou, well...see for yourself!

Makeup Revolution Go Palette Review and Swatches

The Makeup Revolution Go Palette ($5.98) is such an incredible palette, I'm kind of sad I didn't review it sooner! I originally got it free with a purchase during the Black Friday sale and I kept meaning to do a review and swatches but there were so many new products coming out for the new year that it kept getting pushed back. Then the other day, I was thinking that I haven't done a Makeup Revolution review in a while, so I took this baby out and couldn't believe how great it is. And...it's an exact Naked 3 dupe, well at least the 6 eyeshadows that are in here are. Keep reading to see my comparison swatches at the end of this post. 

Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 2 Review and Swatches

I couldn't wait to post a review and swatches of the new Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 2 ($10.47) because it's a dupe for the Lorac Pro 2 palette ($42)! This is one of many Makeup Revolution dupes that I've tested and I would say that this one is the closest dupe by far...it's pretty much exact! Let's take a look...

The Iconic Pro 2 is the second Iconic Pro palette from Makeup Revolution...their Iconic Pro 1 is a dupe for Lorac's Pro 1 palette.  This palette comes in a rose gold box and the palette itself is matte black with rose gold lettering.  Inside, there's a full mirror and a plastic overlay with the shade names on it.  It also comes with a double sided brush...crease on one end and flat eyeshadow brush on the other.

I recently discovered that the new Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro palettes are dupes of Lorac's Pro palettes! It's interesting that they even used the word "pro" when duping these, haha. The Makeup Revolution version is only $10.79 while the Lorac palettes are $42.
Take a look...these appear to be very close!

Knowing how good Makeup Revolution's quality is, I am definitely ordering one of these to do comparison swatches for you guys!
