Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts Swatches and Review

Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Blush ($8.23) is part of the British beauty brand's I Heart Makeup collection and instantly I thought these might be a dupe for Too Faced's Sweethearts blush ($30).  Lets see!
Blushing Hearts are triple baked and contain three shades inside each heart that you can swirl together to get your perfect flush.
The Blushing Hearts collection contains three different blushes, two bronzers and a highlighter.  I purchased the highlighter (separate review coming) and two of the blushes...Candy Queen of Hearts and Peachy Keen Heart.

Candy Queen of Hearts is a beautiful combination of pinks and peaches.

Peachy Keen Heart contains peach, bronze and gold shades.

For the swatches, I swirled my finger around each heart once, making sure I touched all three shades. I was surprised at how soft and pigmented these are!  They felt buttery and showed up on my skin right away without having to layer. That's typical of other baked items I've tried, since they start as a cream and are baked until they're a powder.  They tend to have a softer feel with better pigmentation.

So I decided to compare Candy Queen of Hearts to Too Faced Sweethearts blush in Candy Glow (hmm...similar shade names).
The packaging is very similar...they both come in heart-shaped cardboard containers with lids, although Too Faced's packaging is a little prettier and less plain than the Makeup Revolution version. Still, I love pretty packaging, but it's what's inside that really counts, and I was surprised that the Blushing Hearts felt softer and was more pigmented than the Too Faced Sweethearts blush!  Here's a swatch of both...the Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts felt soft and buttery as I swirled my finger in it, while the Too Faced one felt more dry and powdery. They're both baked formulas so I'm not sure why one feels softer than the other.

Overall, these are definitely dupes for Too Faced's Sweethearts blushes and I actually like them even better!  At $8.23 vs. $30, these are quite a steal.  I just wish that Makeup Revolution would come to the US!
Just a few tips when ordering from them...first, when on their website, change the currency on the left hand side of the screen (if necessary) because the prices are in British Pounds.  Then, you may want to order a few things because overseas shipping can be a bit steep (it was around $13 for me to the US) and it's more worth it if you order more than one thing.  Lastly, I chose regular shipping because the faster one costs even more and my packages have always gotten to me in about 7-8 days (not including Sundays- it comes via US Mail).
