Last week, I spotted some new Revlon products at Bed, Bath and Beyond, and they've launched a new "Ultra HD" lip collection that has lipsticks (which I reviewed HERE) and lip lacquers. Since these products are really new, I don't have any information as to what the claims are and what makes these "HD", so I'm just going to talk about how it worked for me.
The Ultra HD Lip Lacquer comes in 15 shades and I chose the shade Petalite 540, which is a soft pink color.
These come in a long tube with a gemstone on the top of the silver cap. I like the outer packaging, it's sleek and girly.
One part of the packaging I'm not fond of is the brush applicator they included rather than a doe foot. The brush inevitably splits after putting it back into the tube. Mine did after only a couple of uses. It also picks up too much product, and it's difficult to use in my opinion. I felt like it was putting a thick layer on and since there was still a lot of product on the brush, I couldn't use that to blend the product in, so I used my finger to smooth it out.
When swatched, it's a pretty opaque color, almost like a liquid lipstick with a lot of shine. It felt nice and moisturizing going on and the scent was like a vanilla cupcake (and thankfully not as strong and medicinal as the Ultra HD Lipsticks).
When I first applied it to my lips, I liked the color, shine, and moisturization...

Sadly, this was another fail for me. I'm just not impressed with these lacquers or the lipsticks in the Ultra HD collection and I don't know what happened because I normally love Revlon lip products.
If anyone else has tried these, I'd love to hear what you thought!
Revlon HD Lip Lacquers are available at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $7.39 each.
