Recently, I had the opportunity to try the got2b by Schwarzkopf Rise 'N Shine collection, and I couldn't wait to talk about it because it's the perfect solution for my fine, yet damaged hair.
Since I went back to blonde last year my hair has been totally parched, so moisturization is key, but hydration usually means weight so it's really hard to find products that smooth and add shine while still giving my hair volume. That's where the got2b Rise 'N Shine collection comes in...these products give "body & gloss" and each formula is meant to give you shiny, smooth hair without weight.
First up is the Glistening Full Blow Dry Cream. I've been using this every day and I love it for so many reasons. First of all, like everything in this line, it smells amazing. Second, it's one of those products that does everything so you don't have to load your hair with a bunch of styling products. I just rub a dime size into my hair and it protects it from high heat, controls static, smooths, shines, and adds hold.
Here's the description and ingredients:
The texture is like a light lotion and it spreads evenly through the hair. I usually work it all the way through and then comb in with my Tangle Teezer to evenly distribute it.
Next is Gleaming Height Pomade. I just recently cut my hair into an angled bob so I've been using this on my ends to define my layers and add a bit of messy texture. This pomade leaves a beautiful shiny finish, it's not matte like some other pomades (I find that those make my hair look dirty). I had this in my hair one day and I ran out to the store and got caught in a downpour- my hair was completely soaked! When I got home, I used my blowdryer to dry it and I still had the hold from the pomade- it just reactivated it and I didn't have to use more! When I was finished, my hair looked like it did earlier that morning.
The texture is in between a wax and a paste- it's somewhat hard, but I just scoop a little out and rub it together in my hands to warm it up and then rake it through my ends to get a piece-y look. It doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky and doesn't add weight.
Radiance Bounce Whipped Mousse looks like your average everyday mousse when you dispense it from the can, but the difference is that it has a creamy texture that adds moisture to your hair. I've used mousse in the past that made my hair feel dry and a bit stiff after blowdrying, but I didn't even notice that this was in my hair except for the fact that it added tons of volume! It also smells sooo good.
Finally, Luminous Lift Hair Spray adds hold and shine without weight or flaking. I don't use hairspray every day, but lately I have these baby hairs that are about an inch long around my face from when I lost a bunch of my hair after giving birth to my son. It's finally growing back but these short little hairs stick up all over the place, so I found that using this on my brush smooths them down nicely, along with flyaways along my part. It smells great and doesn't feel stiff or crunchy! It keeps my hair in place but still lets it move. It's awesome!
Overall, I'm in love with the got2b Rise 'N Shine collection, it's exactly what my hair needs to look it's best. Now if they would make a shampoo and conditioner, I'd be all set!
Have you tried any Rise 'N Shine products, or any others from got2b? I'd love to hear about it!
