Beauty Junkees Kabuki Brush Set Review

I was recently contacted by a company that was new to me called Beauty Junkees and they asked if I wanted to try some of their brushes. I've tried a lot of makeup brushes over the years and I'm very picky about the quality, so a lot of the time I'm not all that impressed. But when I saw all of the glowing reviews on the Beauty Junkees line and direct comparisons to Sigma brushes, saying that these are even better I knew I had to try them! Julie, the owner of Beauty Junkees sent me two different sets to try...one is a kabuki set for the face which I'll be reviewing today, and the other is an eye brush set that I'll be reviewing in a separate post. She also sent me some coupon codes to share with you guys so I'll be posting those down below.
Let's take a closer look!

Emjoi Micro-Nail Buff & Shine Manicure Kit Review

I'm an at-home manicure kind of girl. I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I've actually gone to a nail salon and gotten a mani/pedi...once was before my wedding, once was before my brother's wedding, and I'm sure there were a few more times when I went with girlfriends or my sisters, but that's about it. Growing up there just wasn't money for that sort of thing and as I got older I guess I just figured, "why pay someone else to do what I can do myself?". I'm probably not the typical girl, at least around here in the 'burbs of NYC, because most people I know go to the nail salon weekly. And I'll admit, their nails always look a lot better than mine, but there's something relaxing about coming downstairs after putting the baby to bed with a bottle of nail polish, remover and emery boards and painting my nails while I watch TV. It's a ritual I've been doing since I was a teenager and the best part is, I can change my nail color as often as I want (and usually it's a few times a week).
But the one thing I've always hated doing is buffing my nails, using that little cube with all it's different sides...it just takes forever to get my nails looking shiny and ridge-free. But as I get older (I'll be 38 next week, yikes!) my nails are developing these vertical ridges and my polish isn't going on as smoothly as it used to, so buffing is becoming sort of a necessity for me. That's where the Emjoi Micro-Nail comes in. You guys know I love my Emjoi electronic foot files, so it was only natural that I'd want to try their new electronic nail buffer. I saw it on QVC a while back and was planning to order it but it kept selling out. Then Emjoi recently asked if they could send me one to try and I was super excited.

New Amope Pedi Perfect and Nail Care System

If you love the Amope Pedi Perfect as much as I do, you'll be excited to know that they've just released two new products to their line...an extra coarse electronic foot file and an electronic nail care system. Let's take a look!

The new battery-operated nail care system features three attachments for filing, buffing and shining nails and has two speed settings. The system has also been designed for portability, able to fit in a purse or bag.
The new Extra Coarse foot file comes in pink and now features a rotating head with diamond crystals for buffing away hard skin. The head is also interchangeable with the original blue Amope Pedi Perfect.

I'm really excited to try both of them!
The Nail Care System is $39.99 and the Extra Coarse Foot File $39.99 are both available at Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Foreo Issa Electric Toothbrush Review

The Foreo Issa Electric Toothbrush ($199 at Foreo.com) is unlike anything I've ever seen and is really unique. This is my first toothbrush review, but I would say it definitely qualifies as a beauty product since a beautiful smile is an important part of your overall look right? I've used electric toothbrushes in the past, but I have to be careful about which ones I choose because I have sensitive gums and ones that spin too fast or have rough bristles can make my gums inflamed and irritated.
So when I was eligible to try this out for free with my iFabbo membership, I jumped at the chance. I loved the Foreo Luna facial cleansing device so I was excited to try another Foreo product. Let's take a look!

My Mission: Get Organized! MelodySusie Large Capacity Cosmetic Organizer Review

I am so disorganized when it comes to my makeup. I have stuff scattered everywhere...some in the master bathroom, a few things in the guest bathroom where I can do makeup and still keep an eye on my son, a bunch more in the guest bedroom waiting to be reviewed, and some in my bag just in case I need to touch up while I'm out. So yeah...it's been a little bit of a sore spot with the hubs...he's been asking me to get it organized for a while now (like, what if we want to have guests over?!). So when I was approached by a representative from MelodySusie to review their Large Capacity Cosmetic Organizer ($49), I jumped at the chance. Time to get organized!

T3 Twirl 360 Review and Giveaway

sample 158
I recently had the opportunity to review the T3 Twirl 360 curling iron from iFabbo and I was beyond excited! I remember when T3 first landed at Sephora back when I worked there and we all lusted after their flat irons, hair dryers and curling irons. I remember finally getting a T3 flat iron for Christmas 2006...that was almost 9 years ago and I still use it today, and that tells you how well made they are.
So I jumped at the chance to add a curling iron to my collection....and I must say, this is the most beautiful curling iron I've ever seen! Let's take a look...

BeautyMP Makeup Pumps Review

Few things annoy me in the makeup world more than a foundation without a pump.  It happens mainly in the drugstore, but even higher end brands do it as well.  Sometimes, a certain brand will put a pump on one formula and not another, for example...L'oreal.  Their True Match foundation doesn't have a pump, yet True Match Lumi does! It's a mystery I'll never understand, but thankfully, BeautyMP has a solution! They carry pumps to fit just about every foundation so you're sure to find the one you need.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Review

On my quest for the perfect Beauty Blender dupe, I was introduced to the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge ($6) by several of my awesome readers. When I reviewed the Sonia Kashuk blending sponge a few weeks ago and was disappointed that it wasn't a Beauty Blender dupe, you all suggested that I try the Real Techniques version and many of you said you like it even better than the Beauty Blender! And guess what? You were right! Thank you for the tip...I love you guys, you're the best!
I purchased mine at Ulta for $6, but they also have them at Kohls and at RealTechniques.com.

This sponge has one major difference from the Beauty Blender, and that's the shape.  It has a flat edge instead of a round one.  This is the part I actually like better.  The flat edge makes it really easy to blend under and around your eyes and nose.

Sonia Kashuk Blending Sponge Vs.The Beauty Blender

Ah, the Beauty Blender...it's how all those YouTube gurus get their flawless foundation application and is the preferred tool of beauty bloggers everywhere.  But $20 for a little sponge?  (Yeah, it seems a bit steep to me too).
So after a ton of requests to find a dupe, I saw a similar product at Target the other day from Sonia Kashuk that cost about half the price of the Beauty Blender ($10.49) and I thought I'd try it out.  So how do they compare? Keep reading...
