Maybelline Fit Me Launches January 2011

Maybelline is launching a new line of Foundations, Powders, Blushes and Bronzers called Fit Me.

"Our research tells us that 'the right shade for me' and 'needs to look natural on my skin' remain very important to the 1,000 women we spoke to," vice president of U.S. marketing Ali Goldstein told WWD.

Packaged in Nars-esque packaging (love it!), the products feature what Maybelline calls "skin merge technology", which is supposed to adapt to any skin tone. The pigments in the foundation will be ground into fine particles and mixed with a translucent base and an SPF 18.

Another thing I love about this new line, is that the products will be placed on the shelves next to their matching color counterparts, rather than separated by product type.  So light foundations will be next to light powders and blushes, while the medium and dark products will also be grouped together.  Also, foundations will be numbered the same as their matching powder, making it super easy to choose the right combination.

The foundations and powders will be available in 18 shades, and will retail for $7.99 each. Concealers come in six shades and retail for $6.49 each, and blush and bronzer will retail for $5.51.

Fit Me is set to hit drugstores in January, but I have heard reports of it being launched in some stores already, so keep on the lookout!
