New Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Collection

The new Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Collection has hit Sephora this week and it's inspired by the "overwhelming beauty that radiates from a person after they achieve self-acceptance and spread the light of compassion to others". There are 3 products in the line...the Enlightenment Illuminizing Veil, the Enlightenment Illuminizer, and Enlightenment Illuminating Wand.

The Illuminizing Veil ($30)is a silky powder, formulated to create a lit-from-within radiance. Enriched with Argan oil, which provides nourishment to the skin, its champagne hue mirrors the natural radiance of healthy skin. The ultra-creamy powder is infused with madonna lily and poet’s narcissus to help brighten, and it sits lightly on the skin, leaving a wash of radiance.

The Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer ($26) is enriched with Argan oil, which provides nourishment to the skin, its champagne hue mirrors the natural, radiant look of healthy skin. It’s infused with madonna lily, a pure white blossom, and poet’s narcissus, an ancient daffodil, which work together to brighten and even your skintone. Skin looks instantly radiant when you use this versatile liquid illuminizer alone, or mix it with foundation, moisturizer, or oil for a lit-from-within glow.

The Argan Enlightenment Illuminizing Wand ($28) brings your inner glow to the surface of your skin, diffusing and reflecting light to create a soft-focus, radiant effect. Argan oil and shea butter bring ultimate nourishment to the skin, while the Enlightenment hue mimics the natural radiance of healthy skin. Madonna lily and poet’s narcissus help to brighten, leaving skin looking radiant and refreshed. Its twist-up, propel/repel packaging is convenient and portable for quick, on-the-go use. Apply this illuminating formula to the inner corner of the eyes, under the brows, cheekbones, bridge of nose, cupid’s bow, and more to lift, define, and highlight.

Josie Maran Liquid Gold Self Tanning Oil- New at Sephora!

Josie Maran Liquid Gold Self-Tanning Oil ($38, Sephora) is brand new for Summer 2015 and for me, it was a bit of an "aha!" moment.  See, I'm a bit of a self-tanning phobe...one because I'm so pale I'm afraid of looking unnatural, and two because my skin is so dry, no matter how much I exfoliate and moisturize, self-tanners still look streaky, patchy, or uneven on me. I've always wondered why nobody has made a self-tanner that's rich and moisturizing...most of them are foams or light lotions and don't provide enough hydration for those with skin like the Sahara desert. But a self-tanning oil...that sounds right up my alley!
Josie Maran Liquid Gold Self-Tanning Oil with mitt ($38)
I'm thinking that Self-tanning oils might be a new trend on the horizon, since St. Tropez has one out as well. Josie's version contains both Argan Oil for intense nourishment, and Argan Oil Light for a quick-drying finish.  I'm hoping that this will be the answer to my self-tanning prayers and I'll finally be able to deeply hydrate my skin while tanning for a more even finish. Plus, this comes with a plush mitt, which definitely helps guard against streaks and protects your palms too.
Currently, this is only available to Sephora VIB and VIB Rouge members only, but it's also available on QVC for a few dollars less ($35).
I ordered a bottle from Sephora today (gotta keep that Rouge membership going! Haha) so I'll definitely post a review on this soon.

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Eyeshadow Review and Swatches

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Eye-shadow ($18), is a new liquid shadow made with coconut water and argan-infused pigments. Take a look...

I wasn't expecting to buy anything when I walked into Sephora the other day, but I spotted these and since I love Josie's Coconut Water Blush, I decided I had to try one of these. They come in 6 shades, and the one I chose was Bora Bora Bronze, a shimmering deep bronze. I was torn between this shade and a beautiful Rose Gold one, but since that ended up being sold out, I went with this one.

Josie Maran Argan Infinity Lip and Cheek Creamy Oil Review

I was in Sephora today and almost squealed out loud when I saw the new Josie Maran Argan Infinity Lip and Cheek Creams, $18.I'm pretty much obsessed with my Argan Infinity Cream and a version with color is too good to be true!
Take a peek!
It comes in 6 shades:

Everlasting Honey- Rosy Nude

Limitless Pink- Medium Pink

Timeless Coral- Warm Vibrant Coral

Endless Guava- Vibrant Poppy Pink

Always Cherry- Vibrant Cool Red

Boundless Berry- Rich Cool Wine

I decided to try Limitless Pink. I usually go for nude shades but when I swatched this on my hand it looked very pretty and subtle.

It comes in a squeeze tube just like the original version, only smaller.

Here's the description:

What it is:
A natural, hydrating lip and cheek formula infused with argan oil and color.

What it does:
This creamy, colorful product adds a pop of dewy, natural color to lips and cheeks. The tinted treatment starts as a cream and melts into an oil, promoting hydration and nourishment without a greasy finish.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

What else you need to know:
“I love putting my Argan Infinity Intensive Creamy Oil on my lips and cheeks to battle dryness and keep them soft. So I thought, why not make a tinted version to add a kiss of color? I’m in love with these cute color wonders. The tint is transparent, so it looks natural, but the popping pigment brightens up lips and cheeks instantly!”—Josie Maran

I love, love, love the feel of this balm! It is so soft and just melts into the lips, leaving behind a gorgeous sheer tint of color with a hint of glossiness. This isn't waxy like a lip balm or sticky like a gloss. The texture is just amazing. The color is sheer going on, but buildable and it definitely stains the lips a little so you'll see some color even after the glossy finish wears off. It feels incredibly hydrating and comfortable on the lips.

The only downside is that it can melt into an oil if you store it in a warm environment, so make sure it's kept in a cool place! Also, I've seen other reviews that said that this can sometimes have a gritty feel. I haven't experienced that myself yet but I wonder if it varies from tube to tube depending on how they're stored.

I also find it to be too dewy for cheeks. This cream melts into an oil which is a great feeling on the lips but is a little weird on the cheeks...its not matte like other cream blushes.

In the swatch, the color looks heavy but it's not at all...this gives a beautiful My Lips But Better effect for me.

Here it is next to the original Infinity Cream. It's actually a huge tube considering you only need a tiny bit. It costs $18, but right now this week, Sephora is giving 15% off to Beauty Insiders in the stores, plus you get a free clutch with samples! So I paid $16 and change for this.

So is this Splurgeworthy? Yes! Go and get this now, seriously!
