First up is the Baby Lips Color Balm Crayon ($5.99 on Amazon.com). I saw these in action on Snapchat several weeks ago and they appear to be richly pigmented balms that offer lipstick-like coverage. There are 8 shades ranging from nudes, pinks, and corals to deeper reds and even purple.
The official description reads:
Bring on bold bursts of bright, juicy color and 12-hour hydration for more kissable lips.
- Pucker up to the flirtiest lips with a pop of natural, comfortable color
- Instantly hydrate and color lips for a more kissable pout
- Achieve 12-hour hydration for soft, smooth lips. Available in a collection of juicy shades.
Next up is the Master Blush Palette ($9.99)...finally a blush palette at the drugstore! This one offers three shades of blush and a highlighter. Currently there's only one shade on Amazon.com, so I'm not sure if there will be a larger color range or if there will only be this one shade for now.
Here's the description from Amazon:
Go beyond the highlight for vibrant and dimensional statement cheeks. Maybelline's Color & Highlight Kit allows you to blush your own way. Use each shade alone or mix and match to create a custom cheek color.
- Bold cheek palette with three vibrant blushes and one universally flattering highlighter
- Weightless, gel-based formula that blends easily
- Features ultra-saturated pigments that deliver high payoff
The new Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow Monos ($2.99 each) come in 20 shades with both matte and shimmer finishes in wide range of colors from neutrals to bolder brights. I've seen Maybelline makeup artists working with these on their Snapchat over the past month or so and they appear to be pretty nicely pigmented...I'm definitely curious to see how they perform.
Iconic, creamy color. No fade. No flake. Now, long wear goes everyday luxurious. Up to 14 hour wear. Ophthalmologist tested. Contact lens safe.
- Extraordinary color thanks to blendable, creamy saturated pigments
- Wear alone or mix and match colors
- 14 hour all day wear
The Dream Cushion Fresh Face Liquid Foundation ($12.99) follows brands like L'Oreal and Physicians Formula in bringing cushion foundations to the drugstore. Since L'Oreal owns Maybelline, I'm curious to see if this will be the same (or similar formula) or if it's going to be completely different than L'Oreal's version. It comes in 8 shades.
Maybelline's increased color pigments deliver complete luminous coverage for fresh-faced perfection.
- It's liquid foundation reinvented!
- Complete luminous coverage for all skin types
- Available in a collection of fresh shades
The Colossal Big Shot Mascara ($6.99) is a new volumizing formula that's part of the Volum' Express line. I've had pretty good luck with Maybelline's mascaras in the past so I'm definitely excited to try this one!
Unleash girl boss lashes with Colossal Big Shot, for fully loaded volume in one coat. 8 out of 10 saw root to tip volume instantly. The Big Shot brush features unique, wavy bristles that cradle lashes, while the collagen formula delivers bold volume.
