First, let's talk about the packaging! It's very high end and luxurious...definitely a step-up from their old white packaging (although that wasn't too shabby either). These eyeshadows come in heavy glass pots with glossy black twist-on lids that have rose-gold accents. I'm really impressed because you just don't see packaging like this at the drugstore...there's no flimsy plastic here...these containers make you feel like you spent a lot more than $7.98.
Inside, there's a black disk sitting on top of the product, which reminded me a lot of the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows. The packaging doesn't indicate whether you're supposed to keep it in there or throw it out but, I'm keeping mine because I think it may help to keep air out of the container and prevent the product from drying out.
Just looking at these shadows, I assumed they were a similar consistency to the L'Oreal Infallibles...velvety powder that's loosely packed, similar to wet sand. But to my surprise, these are actually creams with a soft cushiony texture, closer to Colourpop's Super Shock than Maybelline Color Tattoos. But unlike the Colourpop formula, these feel lighter and a bit more sheer. They go on super silky and smooth with a barely-there feel that I really love!
Sheer Sands is a really beautiful rose gold shade.

According to the packaging, these claim crease-proof, 12-hour wear and lightweight, sheer color.

I mainly use my fingers to apply these, but I also like to use an eyeliner brush to apply these to my bottom lash line. I find that when I apply powder eyeshadow under my eyes, it ends up migrating down, giving me the dreaded raccoon eyes, but since these have amazing staying power they're perfect for smudging underneath my bottom lashes.

Next time you're at Walmart, I definitely recommend picking up one (or two or three) of these. Two thumbs up!
These look lovely, especially Sheer Cinnamon!

Thanks Rachel! That's my favorite one too. :)
DeleteThat Cinnamon shade must be mine! Great review. You post more reviews than any other blogger I follow, keep it up.
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks Michelina! :)
DeleteAnd they're cruelty free, unlike the Color Tattoos. :-)
ReplyDeleteYesss...good point! :)

ReplyDeleteHi Arzu, I'm really liking them! :)
Deletesand and cinnamon looks amazing
ReplyDeleteWow, the luxe packaging, colors, and soft shimmer totally remind me of the Burberry Cream shadows, except they are $30 a pop. And the Clarins ones are $24. I will definitely need to check these out! Thank you, this could be my first Flower purchase! (Katherine T.)
ReplyDeleteI tried the sheer charcoal to create a smokey eye and was very happy with how quickly I made that work and how well they stay without creasing. I want some of the other colors for day looks now.
