Recently I was given the opportunity to try Boscia's Purifying Cleansing Gel. Boscia is a preservative-free, botanically based skincare line that's sold at Sephora, and I have been a fan of their products since I worked there over 8 years ago. The formulas are effective yet gentle and are good for your skin.
What it Is: A sulfate-free cleanser and makeup remover.
What it Does: Deeply cleanses without drying.
What it Costs: $26
Where to Get It: Sephora stores and Sephora.com
Quick Rating: Thumbs Up!
I love that this cleanser is sulfate-free and contains soothing botanicals like rosemary, camellia, hydrangea, and jojoba. The packaging says that it's suited for normal to oily skin, so I was afraid that my dry skin would feel even drier after using this. I tend to stay away from deep cleansers because of they feel like they're stripping my face of the little bit of moisture it has left. But sometimes you want a deeper clean, so I was really happy that this cleanser didn't leave my face feeling tight!
Despite being sulfate free, this cleanser still lathered up a bit, which I liked, and I used it with my Clarisonic. In the photo below, you can see that it's a thin-viscosity gel and a little bit goes a long way. It has a really nice light fragrance that smells fresh, and is barely noticeable.
Overall, if you're looking for a cleanser that will remove makeup and deep clean your face without drying it, this is an amazing choice! It's definitely a more expensive cleanser, but it lives up to it's claims and since you only need a little bit, it will last a long time. I normally use an oil cleanser, but I use this in between to get my skin feeling really clean and fresh.
