This brow mascara has been getting rave reviews from British beauty bloggers, MakeupAlley, and other review sites. So it's time to see what all the fuss is about!
Description/Claims:
"Brows look bolder, sculpted and fuller. Provides a natural and even colored finish. Does not clump, comfortable to wear".
It comes in three shades...Blonde, Light Brown, and Medium Brown. I was torn between the blonde and light brown since my hair is dyed blonde and my brows are an ashy light brown. I usually stay away from shades that darken too much to avoid having blonde hair and really dark brows. So I ended up with the blonde because from the packaging it looked more taupe and the light brown looked like it might be a warmer shade, which I don't want.
Packaging:
Brow Drama comes in a square mascara-like tube and the spoolie brush has a ball tip to help "sculpt the brows". I can see how this ball tip would be easy to use for someone with thick brows, but I found that with my skinny arches, the ball was wider than my brow itself toward the outer part, and I ended up getting the gel on my skin. For that reason, I wish the ball was a bit smaller.
The formula is great if you just want to darken your bows, fill in slightly, and add hold. It comes out looking very natural! It also adds a good amount of hold. After it dried, my brows felt a little stiff, but not overly so, and they didn't look like they were plastered on or anything.
Compared to my current favorite, Benefit Gimme Brow, I would say that this doesn't fill in nearly as well. Benefit's gel has fibers that attach to the skin and hair to bulk up your brows, whereas this is just a tint.
The blonde color ended up being a bit of a warm color also...I have the worst time matching this mousy, ashy color that my brows are naturally. Still, it didn't make them too dark, and they don't look as warm in real life as they do in the after photo.

You can purchase Brow Drama at your local Target, if they've put it out. So far, I can't find it online either!
A friend of mine has this product and she hates the ball on the end, so she used nail scissors to cut the bristles off it and now she likes it :)
ReplyDeleteHaaa! That's an awesome idea! I should have done that instead of tossing it. The ball was so big it just got the product outside the lines of my brow...grr.
