Burts Bees Lip Crayon Review and Swatches Sedona Sands

I've been getting requests from readers to review the new Burts Bees Lip Crayon, so I headed over to Target to pick one up. There are 6 shades and I chose the color Sedona Sands which is a my-lips-but-better shade. Take a look!

What it Is: A full coverage, matte finish lip crayon.
What it Costs: $8.99
Where to Get It: Target, Walgreens, Ulta
Quick Rating: Too dry for my taste, but if you like matte finishes, keep reading!

I love the convenience of lip crayons and this one has some pretty great features. It twists up from the bottom for easy dispensing, it has a cute honeycomb cap, and the product itself is full coverage, more like a lipstick than a balm.
The shade I chose, Sedona Sands is a beautiful neutral shade with pink undertones. It gives my lips just enough of a color boost without looking like I'm actually wearing lipstick.
The thing I don't like about this crayon is that it's a bit dry for my taste. When I say that, I don't mean that it's drying...it's actually a pretty creamy formula. It's just that it's a matte finish and since my lips are dry, I tend to go for formulas that have more slip and have a shinier finish.
But that's just a personal preference...if you like matte finishes, you'll probably love the ease of use of these crayons.
Here are my before/afters- not really a big difference with this shade since it's close to my lip color. It just toned down the pink in my lips a bit.

Overall, if you like a matte finish, you should definitely check these out!
Has anyone tried these yet? What's your experience been like?
