Marc Anthony Coconut Oil and Shea Butter Extra Nourishing Hand Cream Review

A few weeks ago, I posted that haircare company Marc Anthony was launching a body line to coincide with some of their hair product formulas (see the full post here). I found the new body line at Bed, Bath and Beyond and picked up a few products in the Coconut and Shea formula, since I'm a coconut freak and pretty much buy anything that says it's coconut scented.

Description:
Hydrating Coconut Oil & Shea Butter
  • 10X Hydration
  • Extra Nourishing Hand Cream
  • Quickly Absorbs
  • Helps to Sooth Dry, Rough Skin
  • Helps to Restore Supple, Smooth Hands
Tropical Coconut Oil, Chamomile, White Tea and Shea Butter promote soft, supple, younger looking hands.

Formula:
This hand cream is so thick, it's difficult to squeeze from the tube! It contains Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, White Tea and Chamomile.

You can see just how incredibly thick this is in the photo below- it comes out in the shape of the tube opening, rather than melting into a blob as it comes out. It's almost like a balm in terms of thickness.

It spreads easily and I was really surprised at how non-greasy this is! Usually thicker hand creams take forever to sink in, but in no time at all my hands were soft and smooth without feeling like they were dipped in butter.
I was a little disappointed in the scent, since the Coconut and Shea hair products as well as the Body Oil smell like coconuts and this sort of has a play-dough scent to it, with a little coconut in the background. Maybe it's the addition of the tea that's making it smell that way, I'm not sure.

The Verdict:
This is my new bedtime hand cream. I keep it on my nightstand and even used it on my feet last night. I especially love how fast it sinks in because when I go to bed, I usually read a chapter or two of whatever book I'm reading at the moment on my tablet, and I hate having a greasy hand cream on and getting it all over my tablet. So that's definitely a plus for me!
This is a steal at only $3.99, and you can find it at your local Bed, Bath, and Beyond (if they have a beauty section) or at Drugstore.com
