Birchbox August 2014 Unboxing

My August Birchbox has arrived! Lets take a look...

Harvey Prince Ageless Perfume (Full Size $55)- I'm sure you all know that I'm a huge fan of Harvey Prince, and I've done a few giveaways of their perfumes.  They're always just the right mix and smell amazing.  I was really excited to get a sample of one I hadn't tried yet, but have always wanted to...Ageless. It's supposed to make you "smell younger" with a grapefruit and sandalwood blend.  It smells lovely- fresh and light.  Another winner for me!
Key West Aloe Moisturizing Mango Lotion (Full Size $12)- This lotion is from a company I've never heard of and I love getting stuff like this in my subscription boxes because it's fun to try something new instead of the same-old, same-old.  This mango body lotion smells heavenly!  It's a summery, beachy scent and I couldn't stop sniffing my arms all day.  At first, I thought it wasn't heavy enough for my dry skin because it sinks right in and disappears, but my skin stayed nice and moisturized thanks to the 50% aloe vera content in this lotion. The price for the full size isn't bad either at $12- I might have to buy the full size of this one!
Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow (Full Size $27)-  This BB Cream is one of those universal shades that almost never works on me, but thankfully, this is light enough in color that it flatters my pale skin.  It's not supposed to give a tan look- it's meant to give your skin more of a glowy look, blurring imperfections.  It gives a really pretty sheen to my skin without looking shimmery, so I really like this a lot.  Unfortunately, it doesn't cover much, so it's best for good skin days.

Swatch of Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow
ModelCo Bronzer (Full Size $22)- This appears to be a full sized product- it's definitely not sample-sized. On the Birchbox site, it says that the full size is .35 oz, but I can't find that information on the card they gave me.  Anyway, this bronzer is really nice!  It's not orange at all and is a lighter colored bronzer that works with my pale skin.  I swatched it below but it's a heavy swatch, so it doesn't come out that dark when applied with a fluffy brush.  It gives a pretty, healthy glow to my skin.

ModelCo Bronzer Swatch
SeaRx Anti Wrinkle Cream (Full Size $34)- This anti-wrinkle cream is really lightweight and soaks into the skin nicely.  It also has a nice light scent that's not overwhelming at all.  It has algae and Dead Sea mineral salts to combat wrinkles, but since I've only used it once, I can't say whether or not this actually works.  I'm sure this tube will be gone long before any results would become visible.  Still, it's a nice moisturizer!
Overall, I liked this Birchbox quite a bit!  It had several products from brands that were new to me, and I feel like that's kind of the point of getting these subscription boxes...to try new things.  What did you get in your Birchbox?  Was it similar to mine or did you get different stuff?

New to Birchbox?  It's $10 a month (cancel anytime!) and you can join HERE.
