Emjoi eRase e60 Epilator Review

Today I'm writing about a topic I rarely speak about here on the blog...hair removal! That's because I've stopped shaving and waxing my legs. Haha, it's not what you think! I'm not going au natural or anything like that. I've actually discovered a new product that's as easy as using an electric razor and as long-lasting as waxing...the Emjoi eRase e60 Epilator ($59.95). 

You may be familiar with Emjoi (I've blogged about their foot smoothing devices here on the blog in the past) and I was so excited to find out that they make epilators too! I don't know why, but I never hear about this method of hair removal...and it's totally underrated. Everyone I know either shaves or waxes, both of which have their own unique drawbacks.

Shaving is easy and painless but doesn't last very long, while waxing can be painful, messy, and costly (if you go somewhere to have it done). Using an epilator is just as easy as shaving, except instead of cutting the hairs at the skin's surface, 0 tiny tweezers inside the device actually pull your hairs out at the root (just like waxing)! It can even grab hairs as short as .3 millimeters!This means that you'll be hair free for about a month to 6 weeks and when hair grows back, it may be finer and thinner (less noticeable).

Now I'm not gonna lie, using the Emjoi eRase e60 isn't painless...it's a little bit sting-y, especially the first time around. The first time I used it, I was wincing a few times (just like waxing, you're pulling hairs out) but I got used to it after a minute or two and it honestly wasn't that bad at all. The next time I used it, about a month later, I didn't feel the sting nearly as much (maybe because my hairs were a little finer and thinner!). If you're already used to waxing though, this should be a piece of cake.

I didn't experience any irritation from using it whatsoever and the eRase also includes an attachment for sensitive areas, such as your face and bikini area. I haven't tried it on those areas yet...just my legs. I find that it works best if you exfoliate beforehand and then go either back and forth or in circular motions working in small sections.

The Emjoi eRase itself is small and travel friendly...it fits right in the palm of your hand. It comes with a power cord, sensitivity attachment, and travel pouch.
