I feel like a lot of your content is just copying and pasting posts from Nouveau Cheap.
ReplyDeleteWe cover a similar niche so it's very likely we will talk about the same things. We also share a reader base and I know that a lot of our followers tag us both on Instagram to let us know when new products are arriving. I try to vary my content as much as possible but I also don't want to NOT post about something of interest to my readers just because it's on other blogs. I have never and will never "copy and paste" from another blog. In fact, the majority of my content is completely different from Nouveau Cheap.

I am one of those readers you mentioned that always tags you, G from N.C., Trendmood, etc about new product sightings so I would expect you all to post about the same things from time to time. You both posted about these sets tonight but clearly the above poster didn't look back at all of your previous posts that are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than what G is posting about. I go to her site mainly for the deals and sightings and your site for reviews and if your content overlaps once in a while so what?? You cover the same topic. People need to get a life!

DeleteI could have written Melissa's comment. I love Nouveau Cheap's deals and visit your blog for your reviews. For anyone to suggest you have the same content undermines all the hard work you do. In my opinion, reviews are really time consuming and you do a lot of them. No disrespect to G, because I love her too but she doesn't post reviews much anymore. I'm glad to have found you and please don't listen to the haters.

ReplyDeleteI haven't commented here in a while but Elaine I wholeheartedly agree with you. Nouveau Cheap has such great sale information and round-ups, no other blog comes close. On the other hand I come here for the reviews and sneak peeks on drugstore and higher-end makeup. I like saving money when I can, who doesn't, but I don't *only* buy drugstore products. My stash is a mix of drugstore makeup and brands like Urban Decay, Tarte, Too Faced, Nars etc. Keep up the great work here, you have a great thing going and I really enjoy your content because it's mostly different (even if it overlaps with NC once in a while!). To say "a lot" of your content is the same is just plain wrong.
DeleteRecently I've been way more invested in your blog than G's. I loved G before but lately she's been providing sales for higher end cosmetics than usual. I'm all about affordability and great make up finds and deals, so I like your blog a lot more for that purpose. I mean, you even blog about City Color, little gem discoveries like that is what piques my interest. Pls don't listen to that person at the top - pls keep sharing with us. You're great!

I got the hair product for split ends after reading your review , I forget the name but it's the one that costs 24 bucks , my most expensive hair product , but it has done amazing things for my long hair in just two weeks !! So thank you for all the money you spend so that we don't have to.
I loved the hard candy foundation you blogged about a while ago too , so you are responsible for finding great things for me and for my lighter wallet too :-)

As far as my comment , I rarely comment on blogs , but I hate it when trolls want to take something away from bloggers who are honest and are putting in so much time and money just because they are passionate about it.
