Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primers Available at Sephora

If you're in the mood for a splurge, how about the new Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer ($44)? They just launched today at Sephora.com and come in three shades that are infused with light correcting pigments that act as a first filter to neutralize, brighten and soften light.

They blur imperfections and perfect the appearance of the skin for better makeup application. They claim to have "a texture unlike any other primer" that's oil-free and weightless with no greasy or "wet" feel.

Luminous Light is a pearly champagne shade that's supposed to give a candlelit glow to the skin.
Dim Light has a beige tint and is supposed to neutralize the skin.
Mood Light is a soft pink tint that's supposed to brighten up and balance sallow or yellow-toned skin.

Dim Light is my favorite Ambient powder because it's the least sparkly and just gives my skin a beautiful, polished glow so I feel like I need to try that one. I'll be sure to let you know how I like it! :)

  1. Ohhh...I'm on a no-buy right now but I might have to postpone it just for these. Hourglass is my #1 splurge brand. Why do they always have to launch new products when I'm on a no-buy? FML.

    1. Haha Courtney, story of my life! The same thing happens to me with Tarte and this year they launched like, 1,000 new products all at once! Thankfully they had a 30% off sale recently so that helped a little bit. :)

  2. I'm somewhat of a primer junkie so I will definitely be getting this in Luminous light. It looks and sounds just beautiful.

    1. I haven't purchased a primer in a while so I'm really excited for this one. I ordered last night so I should have this by the end of the week (thank you Sephora Rouge 2-day shipping!). I'll let you know how I like it! :)

    1. I ordered Dim Light so I'll try to get at least a first impressions post up by next week. :)

  4. I think this could go either way - gimmick or not. They are definitely capitalizing on the original ambient powder idea in multiple other products. I hope it's wonderful!

    1. I hope so too! The Ambient Powders are arguably their most famous product so I'm sure they're hoping these will take off the same way. I really liked L'oreal's Magic Lumi primer which is kind of the same idea, creating a luminous base that peeks through your foundation, so I'm hoping this will be similar just more luxurious. It better be for that price, right? :)
