Here's a recap of the Sephora Holiday 2015 Tarte Collection:
Bling It On Amazonian Clay Blush Palette ($44)- This one is $9 more than the Ulta blush set, but it includes 5 blushes instead of 4 and they're all in one palette, rather than in separate compacts. A $110 value (Ulta's blush set has a $60 value and costs $35)
Deluxe Amazonian Butter Lip Set ($21)- This is the same exact set that Ulta has and they're the same price.
Light Of The Party Collectors Makeup Case ($59)- This set costs $10 more than Ulta's set and contains 30 eyeshadows (vs. 24) , and a bronzer, blush and highlighter (while the Ulta set has 3 blushes). Both sets contain a deluxe size Lights Camera Lashes mascara. This set also has a double-ended eyeshadow brush, while Ulta's set has a Lip Creme. A $394 value (Ulta's set costs $49 and has a $322 value).
Lips for Daze Lipsurgence Set ($34)- This set contains 5 Lipsurgence lip tints in both matte and satin finishes. Ulta's set is also $34 and contains 9 lip cremes that are individually packaged in sets of 3 to give away as gifts. The Sephora set has a $120 value while the Ulta set has a $126 value.
Shine Bright Statement Lash Essentials ($20)- features a limited edition eyelash curler with sequined handles and a deluxe sized version of Lights, Camera, Flashes mascara. Not currently sold at Ulta.
Stroke of Midnight Brush Set ($44)- a sequined brush box featuring five, full-sized limited edition brushes. A $156 value. Not currently sold at Ulta.
Also, exclusive to Tartecosmetics.com (and shortly at Macys), is a third portable palette called Home for the Holidaze ($49), which contains four limited edition eye and cheek palettes with 16 eyeshadows and 4 blushes plus a full size Lipsurgence Lip Creme in ravishing and a deluxe Lights Camera Lashes mascara. It also contains a separate empty palette that you can pop any one of the four palettes in to take with you on the go.
So there you have it! I hope this comparison was helpful...I think I'm liking the Sephora blush palette better than the blush set at Ulta, but I'm torn between the 3 large palettes. Ugh, decisions, decisions!
What will you be getting from these collections...anything?

Tarte is my newest obsession! These are all so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI really love Tarte! They've changed a lot from when they first started. I was working at Sephora at the time and I remember when we first got Tarte products. Everything came in soft, faux leather purple compacts and they even had candles (I was obsessed with one of the scents but I can't remember what it was...Tribeca or something like that). I think the only packaging that hasn't really changed is the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. :)
DeleteI like the Bling-It on blush palette, and the little blush set. I really hate the multi-colored sequined packaging this year, thouigh. I think it's absolutely hideous.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not liking the looks of it based on the photos I've seen online, but I guess I'll have to see it in person. It's interesting that this Bling It On palette is sequins also but they decided to make this one solid black instead.
DeleteYeah I already ordered the Tarte blush palette from Sephora and the big set. Still on my list is the palette set from Tarte.com, the palette set from Ulta as well as the 4 blush set (might as well get the points from them). And currently I'm at a toss up between the grabbing the 9 lippies and the large lippie set, I love the lip surgences (all finishes) and they were my starting ground of high end lip products...but I only buy them in sets. I'm torn with those sets because I know QVC always comes out with Tarte sets around holiday time too....plus their is always that Marc Jacobs palette in the back of my mind!
