L'Oreal Butterfly Intenza Mascara Review

I recently spotted L'Oreal's new Voluminous Butterfly Intenza Mascara at Bed, Bath and Beyond this week, and posted pictures on Facebook the other day. As a fan of the original Butterfly mascara, I definitely wanted to try this.  Actually, who am I kidding?  I want to try every new drugstore mascara that comes out, haha! 

Description/Claims:
This version claims to give your lashes an "intense fanned out look" with it's double winged brush (the original has one wing).

Packaging:
The packaging here looks very much like the original Voluminous Butterfly, except the brush handle is red instead of black and silver.

The brush definitely has two wings, but otherwise looks similar to the orginal version's brush. I was curious to find out what the other wing does.  The instructions say to start with one wing and then turn the brush to the other wing to catch and fan out your lashes even further.  Personally, I love a more fanned out clump-free look for everyday.

The Results- Before and After:
I was super happy with the results this gave me. It lengthened like crazy with absolutely no clumps and made my lashes look feathery and fanned out.  It didn't smudge or flake at all, which is fantastic!
My only negative, which isn't really that negative, is that the brush has a bit of a learning curve.  I found out pretty quickly that I could use the wings to apply the mascara, but as soon as I turned the brush to the side, it became really wide, like a paddle, and I kept getting mascara on my lids.  So once I decided to just use the wing, then flip it and use the other wing, it worked great!

Final Thoughts:
L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Intenza is shaping up to be one of my favorite new drugstore mascaras! I absolutely love a fluttery, fanned out look for every day and this gave me amazingly long lashes that didn't look too heavy or clumpy.
