  1. Suave is not cruelty-free, is it? That's important to a LOT of people - especially animal lovers! Can you recommend a cruelty-free brand?

  2. I'll definitely work on finding some cruelty free budget options...I'm an animal lover as well! Unilever that owns Suave says that they do not test on animals unless required by law. Even though Pureology doesn't test on animals, their parent company L'Oreal does, so they aren't entirely cruelty free either. I think when Suave makes a comparison to Pureology, they are only referring to the way the product performs, not the values of the company.

  3. Agree with Jennifer. I don't think Suave meant to compare themselves to Pureology in that regard. Just that the formulas are all natural and work as well. I worked for a big cosmetic company before I had my daughter this year and I think most companies are trying very hard to eliminate testing on animals, except where required by law. The government needs to change their policies that puts these requirements on cosmetic brands.

  4. I have issues with products that were already proven safe, yet these same products are still being tested on animals today. Like wtf? Unnecessary testing is illogical and the very definition of stupidity. The smugness attitude of feeling dominate/power over another being, similar as the rapists and pedophiles. We already know what works and what doesn't so further testing isn't necessary, especially with beauty products. I also find it interesting that the same brands who demonstrate cruelty over other species are also vandals and abusers towards humans. Case in point, government policies aren't just cruel towards other species by enforcing testing on the weak, but also have policies that posses cruelty and death towards other humans. It is all connected. I forgot which brands they were, but I remember reading an article that states that some brand name beauty products who test on animals are owned by larger companies/corporations that support military might which directly support wars. Going cruelty-free does more than protect other species, it protects other humans too.

    1. You're absolutely right...if the ingredients being used are already on the market in other products and have been proven safe time and time again there's no reason to test it for the millionth time.
