Simple Micellar Cleansing Wipes Spotted at Walmart

One of my awesome readers Jessica just spotted the new Simple Micellar Cleansing Wipes ($5.97) at her local Walmart and she shared pictures with me, so I wanted to pass the info on to you guys!
I'm a huge fan of Simple's Cleansing wipes because they're non-irritating and actually leave my skin feeling clean and fresh instead of sticky with residue. So I'm really excited to get my hands on the new Micellar wipes because they have the makeup-removing power of Micellar water in them!

I actually use wipes often to remove makeup but they usually can't get all of the stubborn long-wearing eye makeup I wear so I end up having to use an eye makeup remover in addition to a wipe to make sure I get everything off. So the idea of being able to use a wipe to remove everything is really exciting and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that these will be that holy grail wipe I've been looking for!

These cost a little more than Simple's other wipes and Jessica shared Walmart's pricing with me below:

$3.49(Cleansing)
$3.59(Exfoliating)
$4.49(Radiance)
$4.96(Oil balancing)
$5.97(Micellar)

She said it's the same price as Simple's bottled Micellar water, but with these you're not paying for a cotton round as well (or dealing with the hassle).

What do you think? Are you excited about these new Simple Micellar wipes?
You can find them at Walmart stores or at Walmart.com

Simple Skincare Cleansing Wipes Review

Image 1

I was recently given the opportunity to try Simple Skincare's Cleansing Wipes in two different varieties...Radiance and Exfoliating ($4.96 at Walmart). Now, I'm usually pretty good about doing my double cleanse at night, but I'm not gonna lie...when my toddler has me running all over the place all day, sometimes I'm just too tired and reach for a cleansing wipe instead.  In the past, I haven't been too crazy about removing makeup this way because even though it's quick and easy, most wipes I've used felt like they left a film on my face and sometimes they even burn my eye area (and I don't have sensitive skin).  Well these Simple wipes have changed all that for me...let's take a look!
Before I get into the details of each type, I want to point out that neither of these have a scent at all, and they both leave my skin feeling clean with no film or residue. They also don't burn or sting my eyes when removing eye makeup, so they have effectively solved the issues I had with wipes in general!

Simple Cleansing Micellar Water Review

I was so excited to walk into Target last week and spot a Micellar Water by Simple Skincare! Born in France and widely available in Europe and Canada, Micellar Waters are no-rinse, soap-free cleansing waters that are gentle to the skin.  They're still relatively new in the US, although Vichy and La Roche Posay have versions that are available here.  The problem is, those are between $17 and $22, but this new one by Simple was only $6.99.  Let's take a look!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Micellar Waters, they're essentially water that contains Micelles (or fatty acid esters) that trap and whisk away makeup, dirt and pollutants from the skin (sort of like a Swiffer for your skin!). You apply the water with a cotton pad and there's no need to rinse afterward. The most popular brand worldwide seems to be Bioderma, based on all of the reviews and YouTube videos about it. I haven't tried it because it's not available in the US (unless I want to pay crazy international shipping costs).  Recently, Garnier released a version in the UK so we may see that here this Spring and I have a feeling that this is probably going to be a new trend in the US for 2015.

Simple Ultra-Light Gel Moisturizer and Nourishing 24 Hour Day/Night Cream Review

I had the opportunity to try two new products from Simple that just launched this month.  For those of you unfamiliar with Simple, it's a skincare brand that focuses on being gentle yet effective.  All of their products contain no dyes, artificial perfumes, or harsh irritants that can bother the skin, and are hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and and PH Balanced.

The first product I received was the Ultra-Light Gel Moisturizer ($9.99 at Target).

It comes in a pump bottle which I really love- less mess and totally portable!

Here's a shot of the packaging and ingredient label:

I thought that this moisturizer was fantastic!  The gel soaks right into the skin with no residue, so you can apply makeup right away. It has no scent whatsoever and left my skin feeling smooth.  It packed a lot of moisture for a gel, probably due to the glycerin, but was still a bit lightweight for my super-dry winter skin. But in the summer when my skin is more normal, this will definitely be my go-to moisturizer-especially considering how fast it absorbs-this it won't leave you feeling greasy in the humid weather. Anyone from oily to normal will love this one!  Here's what it looks like:

Next is the Nourishing 24 Hour Day/Night Cream ($9.99 at Target).

This one comes in a jar and is an opaque white cream that's light in texture.

Here are some packaging shots:

This cream packs a punch in terms of moisture, containing glycerin, shea butter and Oat Kernel Oil, yet it's lightweight and not greasy at all!  My ultra-dry skin drank this right up and it didn't leave any residue or heavy feeling.  This also had no scent to it at all, which sensitive people will love.
I plan on using this for the rest of the winter, and then I'll switch to the Gel Moisturizer in the summer.  Here's what it looks like:
I'm loving these new moisturizers from Simple!  Do you use Simple products, and if so, which are your favorites?  What do you think of these new additions?
