When you compare the brush to the original one in the red tube, they're as different as night and day. The Push Up Drama brush was traditional in the sense that the bristles went all the way around...the Push Up Angel only has bristles on one side. Actually they're more like little spikes...they're very short, which enables you to get right up into the base of your lashes. The brush head is also very narrow so that also helps you to get right up next to your lash roots.
I found that it combed through my lashes nicely so there wasn't a lot of issues with clumping.
As you can see from my before and afters, the Push Up Angel version gives lots of length, but not as much in the way of volume. I feel like this is more natural-looking than the Push Up Drama version... it gives you that long, fluttery, flirty look.
After: 3 Coats of Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Angel |
Also, this doesn't smudge under my eyes or drop flakes so that's another big plus!
Overall, I'm glad I finally took the plunge and tried Maybelline's The Falsies Push Up Angel. I didn't think I was going to like it, but color me impressed!

So jealous. I have long lashes, but need volume and they like to clump.
ReplyDeleteI have tried different cover girl and I will probably go back to my original Maybelline fave-great lash. I like L'Oreal voluminous but it's waterproof and hard to get off.
ReplyDeleteJillie, Voluminous has been my favorite for over ten years and I can tell you it comes in regular, not just waterproof, which makes it easier to get off. So far the best mascara I've found, and I used Diorshow for a while, too. Dollar for dollar, best value.
DeleteThis stuff sounds amazing. I'll have to pick it up. Wand looks similar to Benefit Roller Lash. Do you know how they compare?
ReplyDeleteHow's the formula? Is it wet? I don't like wet mascaras as it brings my lashes down. My HG is the CoverGirl LashBlast Volume which gives me fanned out look with a little bit of volume. I'm tempted to try this now hmm
ReplyDeleteI might have to try this! 😃
