Fresh Sugar Cream Lip Treatment | First Impression & Swatches

I'm a huge fan of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments, so when I saw the new Fresh Cream Lip Treatments ($24) on the Sephora website last week, I knew I had to try one. I ordered it while I was on vacation and it was waiting for me when I got home. I've only been using it for a few days, but I'm in love already!
Let's take a look...

These contain sugar (a humectant that prevents water loss), Black Currant Seed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, and Grapeseed oil, so they're full of moisturizing ingredients just like the twist-up stick version.

Also, for those who may be wondering where they're made, they are made in France.

They come in cute little squeeze packaging that reminds me of those little metal paint tubes. It has a slanted plastic lip applicator, which is a huge plus. I was half expecting these to have just a hole where you squeeze the product out and have to use your fingers to apply (like the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask), so it was a nice surprise to have an actual applicator!

The formula is creamy and somewhat thick...not as thick as a lip balm and not as runny as a gloss. It's somewhere in between, sort of a hybrid of the two. It lays down a nice layer of pigmentation...it's more opaque than the tinted lip treatment sticks, but it still lets a little bit of your lips show through, which I really love about it. I favor a natural look most of the time, and this gives your look some polish but isn't as full coverage as wearing a lipstick. It's great for when you're home or out running errands...but you can also totally wear this to work.

It gives your lips a large dose of shine...as much as a lip gloss but without the stickiness. It feels really smooth and silky, even with the shimmer in the formula, you don't feel any grittiness.

It comes in three shades, Buff (nude), Blush (rose), and Pink. I chose the Blush shade and I love this color so much! It's the perfect rosy pink shade (and totally matches my shirt today, which wasn't planned!). As far as lasting power, it's not the most long-lasting lip product, but that's to be expected because it is a lip balm, after all. I do have to reapply this a few times throughout the day but I enjoy doing so because it makes my lips feel really moisturized and smooth. Plus I love the scent...it has the same lemon-sugar scent that the other Fresh lip products have.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this if you're a fan of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments, but are looking for something with a bit more pigmentation. I really hope they come out with more shades in the future, like they did with the stick version!
