If you've been reading my blog for a while, you probably know that I'm crazy about coconut everything, including coconut oil. I have super dry skin and I love using it to moisturize from head to toe. The one downside is that it can be a little messy to use, so I was super excited to discover Kopari Coconut Body Oil ($34). This is a dry coconut oil spray...how genius is that?
If you're new to Kopari, they are passionate about all things coconut (just like me!) and they create all of their products with the highest-grade, 100% organic coconut oil sourced directly from the Philippines. Every product is made as naturally as possible with no sulfates, silicones, parabens, GMO's, or toxins, so you know that you're not putting anything gross on your body...just the good stuff.
Let's take a look!
Description/Details:
This coconut dry oil quickly absorbs & restores skin to its former supple self. A luxe lightweight mist that will hydrate your bod and take you on insta-vacation. Silicone-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free & GMO-free. Size: 3.4 oz Price: $34
Ingredients: Cocos Nucifera (ORGANIC Coconut) Oil, Coconut Alkanes, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Shea Butter Ethyl Esters, Fragrance (Parfum), Tocopherol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil
Kopari Coconut Body Oil is a blend of pure Coconut Oil, Shea Butter esters, Vitamin E, and Soybean oil. It has a lovely gardenia coconut (tiare) scent that lasts and goes on lightweight, absorbing almost instantly. I love being able to quench my skin with coconut oil after my shower and still feel like I can get dressed right away. After using this my skin feels velvety soft and not greasy at all.
As with most body oils, it works best if you apply it to damp skin to seal all that moisture in, but
I also have a little beauty hack that I do every night before bed which is to seal in my regular body moisturizer with body oil.
Most lotions and body butters are water based so once they're on your skin they start evaporating. After applying lotion at night, I add a layer of the Coconut Body Oil on top and it seals all that moisture in, leaving my skin super soft in the morning. If you use another scented lotion it might smell a little weird to mix the two depending on the scent but since my regular body lotion has a coconut scent anyway, they go together quite nicely.
It's also lightweight enough to use on your face as a beauty oil and from the mid-shaft to ends of your hair as a split-end treatment.
The only downside to this product is that I wish the bottle was a little bit larger, but the good news is, you don't need to use a lot...it goes a long way.
Final Thoughts:
If your skin is feeling parched this winter, I highly recommend giving Kopari Coconut Body Oil a try. It's such a unique way to get your coconut oil fix without the mess and includes all-natural ingredients that are amazing for your skin. Not to mention you'll smell like you've just been on a tropical island.

I bought their Coconut Melt from Sephora after seeing gurus on YouTube talking about it and even though it's just 100% coconut oil I swear it's the best one I've ever tried. My sister tells me I'm a snob and buying into hype because I could just go buy it at the grocery store for 1/4 of the price. BUT I will swear on my life that this is better, smoother, less greasy and it doesn't have those chunks that the cooking oils have. I am very intrigued by this spray though and might try it after my coconut melt is gone. By that time it might be warmer weather and I'll be ready for something lighter. If you haven't tried the coconut melt I suggest you try that one next especially if your skin is dry.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds amazing! I love the sound of a coconut oil spray.
ReplyDeleteThis seems kinda pricey. Is it REALLY that good?
ReplyDeleteI agree with the above poster that it's on the expensive side. But it also seems like a product you can't get everywhere else. Most drugstore body oils have a million ingredients and chemicals you can't pronounce. I'm currently pregnant and have been looking for a body care line with a very short and simple ingredient list. I will gladly pay more if it means putting something pure and natural on my skin.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds veeeeeeery nice. Expensive though.
ReplyDeleteJust because you can't pronounce an ingredient doesn't mean it's bad for you. Likewise, plenty of natural, easily pronounceable chemicals are harmful. That kind of thinking is dangerously anti-science.
