Pur Cosmetics Elevation Highlighter Palette Review & Swatches

I spotted the new Pur Cosmetics Elevation Palette ($15) at my local Kohls store (it was in the little travel-sized area by the registers) and since I can't resist a highlighting palette I grabbed one to review!
Let's take a closer look...

PRODUCT DETAILS

Packaging:

The Elevation Palette comes in a cardboard compact with a magnetic closure. It's very slim and travel-friendly and when closed it's about the size of a deck of cards (just thinner). Inside there's a mirror and three highlighting powders and it also comes with a small fan brush which is my favorite way to apply highlighters to my cheekbones!

Swatches:

The two colored powders Boost (champagne) and Upgrade (rose gold) have a soft, velvety texture and a little bit of fallout but nothing too crazy. They actually feel a lot like the Becca highlighters! The powder in the center, Altitude, has a drier, smoother finish almost like a finishing powder. It doesn't say so in the description on the Kohl's website, but I saw a video of this palette that was made by Pur Cosmetics and they said the Altitude powder was actually a color correcting powder. That totally makes sense since it's not as glowy as the other two and doesn't really seem like a highlighter to me.
I feel that either of the highlighter shades can work even if you have a lighter skin tone like I do...especially when they're sheered out on the cheeks. They aren't the most in-your-face shiny highlighters but they give a very pretty glow that's finely milled (no obvious sparkles).

Final Thoughts:

This is a super cute little highlighter palette for $15. Even though it's small in size, these pans will last a long time since you only need to use a little bit of these pigmented powders. If you're looking for an over-the-top shiny highlight, you won't find that here, but if you're like me and you're into a subtle glow on your cheekbones this definitely fits the bill!
