Ulta x Jenny Fox Miss Fabulous Palette Launches Tomorrow

Ulta has teamed up with YouTube Vlogger Jenny Fox to create an affordable eyeshadow palette called Miss Fabulous ($20). I will admit, I have never watched her videos and don't know much about her, but these rich, warm colors look really beautiful for fall don't they?

The palette is online now and will be in stores July 24th. It contains 12 matte and shimmery shades. I haven't tried Ulta's eyeshadows in the past so I'd love to hear from you guys...how are they? Are they worth buying? Please let me know in the comment box below! :)

  1. I love her, but I'm not sure about how Ulta's eyeshadows perform.

    1. Same here...I haven't tried them or seen any reviews. I also don't know if this palette will be the same formula Ulta typically uses or if they created something different for this collaboration. Hmm...I'm curious!

  2. I love Jenny, worth watching thought she does not put up as many videos as she use to. I am surprised by this palette, I say this because these colors don't seem to be her at all...As far a Ulta products I have stopped buying them, they just don't work for me..I end up returning each time. The eyeshadow colors fade/crease to quickly. Curious though if the formula changed for this colab...I will be watching for your review.

    1. I'm wondering the same thing. I never took the plunge with an Ulta brand palette so I have no idea what to expect. Thanks for letting me know your experience! Based on what you said, I hope they did reformulate!

  3. Does this have a lot of the same colors as the ABH Modern Ren palette? Looks nice though...wonder how it swatches.

    1. A few of the shades do look similar, actually! But I'm guessing the pigmentation/formula is much different. :)

  4. I have 1 ulta shadow palette. The rose gold one. The colors are amazing but you do have to use a little more than you would with other palettes I.e morphe. So it does lack a little pigmentation but for the price I don't mind building the shadow up. I don't know if they change the formula for any collabs though.

    1. Thanks for sharing your experience! I've always wondered about that Rose Gold palette because it looks really pretty!

  5. My experience with the Ulta palettes has been disappointing to say the least. I bought the Gold and Rose Gold ones, and wound up tossing both; I couldn't get them to work over any primer or even a damp brush. Then I tried again with the Metals and the Prismatic palettes, and they were even worse. Needless to say, I will NOT be purchasing the Miss Fabulous palette since I've finally learned my lesson. -- Christina D.

    1. Hi Christina, that's terrible! Thanks so much for your input...it sounds like a lot of people have had similar experiences so I'm not in a rush to buy this one unless I see reviews that say it's a new formula or something like that. :)

  6. I don't enjoy Ulta makeup at all. Such a shame, its mostly all made in China( from what I've seen) and the quality is bad. On the other hand, Sephora makes some amazing makeup.

  7. WOW $20 and apparently Ulta's eyeshadows are poor quality ... no thanks! Too bad, I love these colors! But what a ridiculous price! I am on the hunt for these colors (afffordably), any other recommendations?

    1. Miki, check out the Makeup Revolution New-trals vs Neutrals. It has a very similar color scheme and is only $10 and the eyeshadows are AWESOME! I use that palette every week. I LOVE it!

  8. To be honest I won't purchase this because immediately the packaging gave me flashbacks of the LA Girl Beauty Brick Eyeshadow palettes (garbage), the City Color eyeshadow palettes (mostly garbage)and the Profusion palettes (especially the smoky palette and the berry palette) all of which were bad. But you will pay $6 for those palettes. Not $20. Or $16.50 with the coupon. I have never heard very much about the Ulta eyeshadows. The two I had were very dry and patchy (one dark matte and one light shimmer). That being said I have heard VERY good things about the Ulta Professional Matte Foundation Primer (even though I think $18.00 is crazy for a "drugstore" brand), the brow tint which is a couple of Youtubers holy grail brow product and the Nude Matte Eyeprimer which Coffee Break with Dani said is a dupe for the MAC soft ochre but she actually likes it better.
