Profusion Studio Contour Palette Review & Swatches

Last week when I reviewed the Profusion Studio Highlight kit, a lot of you told me here and on social media that you've been seeing the Profusion Studio Contour Palette at Five Below and Marshalls, so of course I had to go back to Five Below and see if it was there. Sure enough, after some digging I found them hidden in the back on a shelf in the makeup aisle! I'm not much of a contour person, but at $5, I couldn't resist grabbing one to review for you guys. Let's take a look...

Just like the highlight palette, this one has six shades housed in a soft cardboard palette rather than a plastic one. I actually prefer this type of packaging because I feel like it provides more cushion if you happen to drop it.
On the back of the palette, there are instructions for both highlighting and contouring which is helpful for those who aren't seasoned at applying this type of product.

The shades included remind me quite a bit of both Kat Von D's Shade & Light palette and Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. Unfortunately, I don't have either one so I can't make a direct comparison and see if this is a dupe, but they all contain similar shades...
-a light shimmery champagne, plus a yellow and a peach toned highlight in the top row and
-a light, medium and dark contour shade in the bottom row.

The pans are very generously sized and the formula is soft and silky. I love the range of shades because there seems to be something for every skin tone in this palette. The Nude shade in the bottom left corner is the perfect contour color for my fair skin, and all of the highlights can work for me as well. I don't see myself ever using the two darker contour shades, but for $5, the fact that I can use 4 out of 6 shades is fine with me!

The highlight swatches are a little hard to see since they aren't too much different than my actual skintone, but the shades are all nicely pigmented.

Overall, this is another great product from Profusion Cosmetics, especially for $5. Thank you guys so much for recommending this to me, I'm so glad I was able to find it! :)
Profusion now has this palette on their website for $5.99.  If you live near a Five Below or Marshalls, be sure to check this one out!
